The Fajr-2 rocket launcher is one of the rockets developed from the Fajr family in Iran. Compared to the Fajr-1, this rocket launcher has a greater range and caliber. ^{[2] [3]} This rocket was the second indigenized by Iranian military engineers. ^[4]

Likely, this rocket launcher was later integrated into the production line of the Fajr-3. The launcher for this rocket is the same as the Fajr-3 rocket launcher. ^[3] This rocket is one of the lesser-known rockets in Iran's military industry. ^[5]
