Md Fakhrul Ahsan, BSP, ndu, psc is a major general in the Bangladesh Army and Force Commander for MINURSO, the UN peacekeeping mission in the Sahara. [4] Prior to join there, he was GOC of the 10th Infantry Division and & Area Commander, Cox's Bazar Area. [2] Before that, He served as Commandant of Bangladesh Military Academy.

Career

Ahsan was selected at the ISSB for the 19th (BMA) Long Course [1] and was commissioned in 23 December 1988. [5] During his posting as Director of Army military intelligence, he played a significant role in Operation Twilight. [6] In his long career, he also served as Assistant Defence Attaché at Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, India and in two peacekeeping missions, in Somalia (UNOSOM-II) and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUC). [1] He also served as Commandant of Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) in Bhatiary, Chattogram [3] before taking over command of the 10th Infantry division. [2]

Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan SBP (BAR), psc is a retired Bangladeshi army officer who served as the Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army from 2012 to 2015. He took office of Army Chief at 25 June 2012 and retired on 25 June 2015. He joined Bangladesh Military Academy on 19 March 1976 and was commissioned on 30 November 1976 in the Infantry Regiment. Chitta Ranjan Dutta Bir Uttom, also known as C R Dutta, was a Bangladeshi war hero who served as major-general of the Bangladesh Army. After independence, he served as the armed forces commander in Rangpur and later went on to become the first director-general of the Bangladesh Rifles in 1973.

He is the former director general of DGFI. He previously served as Commandant of Defence Services Command & Staff College (DSCSC). He also served in 71 Mechanized Brigade as Commander.

Brigadier Alam commanded two infantry battalions of the Bangladesh Army. He also served as the brigade commander of an infantry brigade. He commanded of the only para commando brigade of the Bangladesh Army. He served at DRC as the Northern Sector Commander of MONUSCO.

Mohammad Shaheenul Haque OSP, BSP, ndc, hdmc, psc is a three-star rank Lieutenant general in the Bangladesh Army and the current Commandant of National Defence College. Prior to that he was Chief of General Staff (CGS) at army headquarters. Before that, he was the Master-General of the Ordnance (MGO) at AHQ. Beforehand he served as Director General of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies. He was adjutant general at army headquarters. Prior to join AG, he was Engineer-in-Chief at the Bangladesh Army. Earlier, he served as commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) since 24 January 2021.

Ashab Uddin is a retired major general of the Bangladesh Army. He has also served as Bangladesh's ambassador to Kuwait and Yemen.

Muhammad Faizur Rahman SGP, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc is a Lieutenant General Bangladesh Army and incumbent Quartermaster general (QMG). Before that, he served as DG of Directorate-General of Forces Intelligence. He served as the 28th commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC). Prior to join here, he was GOC of the 66 Infantry Division, Bangladesh Army and area commander, Rangpur Area. He also served as the commandant of Army Security Unit of Bangladesh Army.
