Far East Film Festival (FEFF) is an annual film festival held in Udine, Italy. It is one of the most important events promoting Asian Cinema in Europe. It focuses mainly on the films from East Asia.

Contents

In 2023, the festival celebrating its 25th anniversary edition from April 21 to April 29, focused on the Asian films of the 1980s. [1]

Far East Movement is an American hip hop and electronic music group based in Los Angeles, composed of Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, Jon Street, Ray Ro, DJ Virman, and Jerm Beats. They signed with Martin Kierszenbaum's Cherrytree Records, an imprint of Interscope Records to release their 2010 single, "Like a G6" which peaked the Billboard Hot 100, making them the first Asian American group to reach number one on the chart. Their follow up single, "Rocketeer", peaked at number seven and led their third album and major label debut, Free Wired (2010). Lee Won-suk is a South Korean film director. Lee acted as the assistant director on the South Korean omnibus film Five Senses of Eros (2009), before releasing his filmmaking debut, the romantic comedy How to Use Guys with Secret Tips (2013). Though not a commercial success, the film won the Golden Mulberry Award at the 15th Far East Film Festival and the Bronze Prize for Best Asian Feature at the Fantasia International Film Festival in 2013.

The Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest) is a public exhibition showcasing international and local films in Malaysia. Accompanying this event is the Malaysia Golden Global Awards (MGGA) where the organisation Jazzy Group recognises filmmakers for their significant performances throughout the entire year. Both events were established in 2016. Hand Rolled Cigarette is a 2020 Hong Kong neo-noir crime drama film written and directed by Chan Kin-long in his directorial debut, and starring Gordon Lam as a retired colonial-era soldier who takes in a troubled South Asian youth. The film opened the 17th Hong Kong Asian Film Festival on 3 November 2020, and also closed the 57th Golden Horse Film Festival on 19 and 20 November 2020, where it was nominated for seven awards including Best Feature Film. The film held a special preview screening in Hong Kong on 30 April 2021, before it was widely released on 17 June 2021 in the territory.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">15th Asian Film Awards</span> Asian Film Awards

The 15th Asian Film Awards was held on October 8, 2021, in Busan at Haeundae. Like 2020 edition it was staged with the 26th Busan International Film Festival in hybrid format that combines online and face-to-face participation. The award show was hosted by actress Kim Gyu-ri and broadcaster Lee Seung-guk.

<i>Table for Six</i> 2022 Hong Kong comedy film

Table for Six is a 2022 Hong Kong comedy film written and directed by Sunny Chan. It was written as a sequel to the 2015 short film Table for Three. The film is centered around the classical Chinese motifs of shared meals and dysfunctional family ties. It was initially scheduled to be released on 1 February 2022, the first day of the Lunar New Year, but it was postponed until 8 September 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

<i>Far Far Away</i> (film) 2021 Hong Kong film by Amos Why

Far Far Away is a 2021 Hong Kong romantic comedy film and the third full-length feature written and directed by Amos Why. The film follows a 28-year-old introverted IT geek who is inexperienced in dating, but suddenly finds himself romantically involved with five attractive women at different times, all are living in New Territories or Outlying Islands, Hong Kong.
