Farmagudi is a suburb of Ponda town in Goa, India. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Ponda taluka. Situated on a plateau, it is located 3 km away from the main Ponda City, on the way towards Panjim. Farmagudi is home to several educational institutions, including the (GVM's) Higher Secondary School, GVM's College of Commerce & Economics, Ponda Education Society's Higher Secondary School, and the Goa Engineering College, National Institute of Technology Goa, and IIT Goa. [1]

The famous Gopal Ganapati Temple and the Shivaji Fort is also located here along the road to Panaji.

The Ponda Fort is located near Ponda, in the state of Goa on the west coast of India. The present structure is a modern reconstruction on this location and converted into a park. In 2017 the lower walls of the fort had collapsed, due to neglect and also due to the use of poor quality materials during a previous (1977) renovation. The original structure was constructed of stone and mud, and left bare, the new structure contains stone, concrete and is plastered and painted red.

Ramnath Kare, also known as Ramnathbab and Babu. is an Indian industrialist, educationist and philanthropist from Goa. He is based in Margao, South Goa and is an avid reader. Kare has studied at St Xaviers College in Mumbai.

Velinga or Veling is a village in Ponda taluka, Goa. The panchayat area it is part of consists of famous temples, including the Lord Manguesh Temple. The main occupation in the area is agriculture, horticulture, and homestead system of gardening (kulagars). In the village panchayat, there are some 35 water springs.
