Long Grass Plantation is a historic house and national historic district located along what was the Roanoke River basin. In the 1950s most of it was flooded and became the Buggs Island Lake/John H. Kerr Reservoir in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. The house was built circa 1800 by George Tarry on land belonging to his father, Samuel Tarry, and Long Grass Plantation encompassed approximately 2000 acres (8 km2).

Cross Creek Cemetery is a cemetery located in Fayetteville, North Carolina, near a creek of that name that "meanders for more than a mile from downtown Fayetteville to the Cape Fear River." It was established in 1785. The cemetery is organized into five numbered sections and is managed by a cemetery office within Fayetteville-Cumberland County Parks & Recreation.
Market Square is a furniture showroom complex in High Point, North Carolina, owned by International Market Centers which is the largest building in North Carolina on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), and the sixth largest in the United States. Known also as Tomlinson Chair Manufacturing Company Complex, it was listed on the NRHP under that name. The former manufacturing complex includes the oldest factory building in the city, and its renovation has been credited with making High Point a successful furniture exhibition center. A 16-story addition in 1990 is one of the city's tallest buildings.

The original section was built about 1840, and is a two-story, side-hall plan, vernacular Greek Revival style frame dwelling. A Victorian style two-story, four room wing was added between about 1875 and 1880. Additional rooms were added in the early-20th century.
Prince Charles Hotel is a historic hotel building located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built between 1923 and 1925, and is a seven-story, Colonial Revival style steel frame building sheathed in brick and concrete. It features an Italian Renaissance style palazzo. The original section houses 125 rooms; a 60-room addition was built in 1942.
Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railway Passenger Depot is a historic train station located at Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina. It was built in 1890 by the Cape Fear and Yadkin Valley Railway, and is a two-story brick passenger depot with a deep hip roof in the Romanesque Revival style. The seven bay by two bay building features a rounded brick arch arcade. It operated as a passenger station until about 1900, after which it housed commercial enterprises.
John A. McKay House and Manufacturing Company is a historic home and factory complex located at Dunn, Harnett County, North Carolina. The house was built about 1840, and is a two-story, double pile, Greek Revival style frame dwelling. It features a full-facade, one-story porch and two-story, portico. Associated with the house are a barn, later remodeled with garage doors, a smokehouse, a storage/wash house, and fence. The main factory building was built in 1903, and is a two-story U-shaped building, with a two-story shed, gable roofed ell, and another ell. Other contributing factory buildings are an office (1937), two privies, McKay Manufacturing Company building (1910), trailer assembly room, steel house (1910), foundry (1910), cleaning rooms (1910), wood storage building (1935), boiler room, pattern room, and flask shop (1910).
Falls of the Neuse Manufacturing Company, also known as the Manteo Manufacturing Company and Forest Manufacturing Company, is a historic paper mill complex located at Falls, Wake County, North Carolina. The main mill building was built in 1854–1855, and is a three-story, quarried granite block building measuring 195 feet long and 54 feet wide. Located on the property is the stone mill dam, measuring about 400 feet wide and roughly 6 feet tall, and the one-story picker room, measuring 53 feet square. The mill operated as a paper mill until 1896, and later housed a cotton mill and warehouse.
The Dr. Ezekiel Ezra Smith House is a historic house at 135 South Blount Street in Fayetteville, North Carolina. It is a 2 1⁄2-story wood-frame structure, with complex massing typical of the Queen Anne architectural style. Its main block has a side-gable roof, with a projecting bay section at the right of the front facade that is topped by a gable. A hip roof porch extends from the center of the projecting bay around to the left side. The house was built in 1902, and is unusual as a Queen Anne house in one of the city's historical African-American neighborhoods. Dr. Ezekiel Ezra Smith, for whom the house was built, was instrumental in the development of North Carolina's first State Colored Normal School, established in Fayetteville in 1877.
