The song features vocals from the Australian-born singer-songwriter Sam Sparro.

The music video for the song was directed by Andy Soup and released on 28 August 2009. It has a futuristic theme.

Critical reception

Digital Spy gave the song three stars, describing it as "a slice of fairly unremarkable dance-pop" and commented on Sam Sparro's vocals as "quirky enough to keep things interesting as he soars, squeaks and squalls his way through this track." [1]

Sam Sparro, the Australian-born pop, dance, house, and soul singer-songwriter, record producer, and remix engineer, has released three studio albums. His eponymous debut album, Sam Sparro, released through both Modus Vivendi and Island Records, has been certified Gold. His second album, Return to Paradise was released with EMI. He has released two mixtapes. On 5 August 2013 Sparro released the mixtape Mechanical. to his SoundCloud account to promote his upcoming extended play, Quantum Physical, Vol. 1. Love Made Me Do It was released via his SoundCloud account on 13 February 2015. Sparro has released five extended plays. "Back 2 the Wild" is a song by English electronic music duo Basement Jaxx, released on April 12, 2013 via London-based independent label 37 Adventures. The song was written and produced by group members Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton while Korean artists Baby Chay and Miss Emma Lee contributed the vocals. At the time of the release, "Back 2 the Wild" was intended to be the lead single of their then-upcoming seventh studio album entitled Music, but the idea was eventually scrapped. The group instead released Junto (2014), which deluxe edition features the song's Korean version and remixes.
