"21st Century Life" is the second single from Sam Sparro's eponymous debut album, released on 21 July 2008. [2]

Contents

The Song was featured on one episode of Britannia High and it is also the theme music to the BBC Three drama, Personal Affairs .

The song made it to BBC Radio 1's C-List, but was later dropped.

It was performed on the first live result show on reality television series, So You Think You Can Dance Australia , on 16 February 2009

The song was one of 50 tracks selected for the official NBA 2K17 soundtrack, which was curated by Grimes, Imagine Dragons and Noah Shebib. [3] [4]

Music video

The video features Sparro dancing and singing in front of bright backgrounds intercut with animations of cardboard cut-out characters. The video was directed by Mariah Garnett. [5]

On 27 July 2008, the song entered the UK Singles Chart at number 77 on downloads alone and peaked at number 44. Even though the single was released in 2008 the song did not chart in the Australian ARIA chart until February 2009.

"Fuck Wit Dre Day ", or as a single titled "Dre Day", is a rap song by Los Angeles record producer and rapper Dr. Dre, featuring rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg, and released in May 1993 as the second single from Dre's debut solo album, The Chronic. "Dre Day" was a diss track targeting mainly Dre's former groupmate Eazy-E, who led their onetime rap group N.W.A and who, along with N.W.A's manager Jerry Heller, owned N.W.A's record label, Ruthless Records. In "Dre Day" and in its music video, which accuse Eazy of cheating N.W.A's artists, Dre and Snoop degrade and menace him. Iason Chronis, better known as Mason, is a Dutch DJ and producer. He had a number one on the UK Dance Singles Chart in 2007 with his track "Exceeder". Exceeder had originally been an instrumental and had received a vinyl-only release in the UK in 2006. The new version of the track, "Perfect (Exceeder)", was a mashup with American rapper Princess Superstar's song "Perfect" and reached number 3 on the national British chart in January 2007. The track was a big hit in many countries worldwide. He also had chart success in 2011 with his song "Runaway", which was a modern version of "Runaway" by Eruption, and "Boadicea", featuring Róisín Murphy, in 2016 with "Fashion Killa", and with many club releases since. Mason is the owner of the record label Animal Language.

Fort Knox Five is a Washington, D.C.-based musical group consisting of Steve Raskin, Jon Horvath, Rob Myers and Sid Barcelona. The musical collective releases music through their self-run label, Fort Knox Recordings. Their music style mixes elements of funk, reggae, hip hop and electronica.

Kraak & Smaak is a musical production trio from the town of Leiden, Netherlands, consisting of Oscar de Jong, Mark Kneppers and Wim Plug. The three began recording in 2003. Their first album, titled Boogie Angst, was released in the UK 2006, and they began performing at music festivals and at clubs in the US and UK. Their songs were played on the radio and were used in television shows. Their second album, released in 2008, was titled Plastic People. They won an EBBA. Their third album, Electric Hustle, was released in 2011.

Sam Sparro, the Australian-born pop, dance, house, and soul singer-songwriter, record producer, and remix engineer, has released three studio albums. His eponymous debut album, Sam Sparro, released through both Modus Vivendi and Island Records, has been certified Gold. His second album, Return to Paradise was released with EMI. He has released two mixtapes. On 5 August 2013 Sparro released the mixtape Mechanical. to his SoundCloud account to promote his upcoming extended play, Quantum Physical, Vol. 1. Love Made Me Do It was released via his SoundCloud account on 13 February 2015. Sparro has released five extended plays. His first extended play Black + Gold was released by Modus Vivendi Music in January 2007. London Festival '08 was first released on 1 January 2008 with Island Records. Sparro released his third extended play, Pink Cloud, as a free download to promote his then upcoming second album before a number of release push-backs. He released Quantum Physical, Vol. 1 independently on 1 October 2014. On 16 October 2015 Sparro released the second volume of Quantum Physical with Intuit Records.

Return to Paradise is Australian singer-songwriter and producer Sam Sparro's second album. It was released on 1 June 2012. The album entered the Australian Albums Chart, peaking at number 41. In Belgium the album peaked at number 35 on the Belgian (Flanders) Albums Chart, and number 80 in the Netherlands on the Dutch Albums Chart. The album had less success in the United Kingdom, however, failing to chart in the top 200 or to produce any charting singles.

Ministry of Sound Sessions Five is an electro house, dance music compilation album. It is the fifth installment of the Australian Ministry of Sound "sessions" series which started in 2004. There are 42 tracks across the two discs mixed by The Potbelleez and Goodwill. The album is the first appearance for The Potbelleez in the Sessions series and the second for Goodwill. Sessions Five finished 2008 in the number 4 position in the ARIA 2008 End Of Year Top 50 Dance Albums Charts and in position 7 of the ARIA Top 50 Compilations Chart for 2008.
