.hack//Sign is a Japanese anime television series directed by Kōichi Mashimo, and produced by studio Bee Train and Bandai Visual, that makes up one of the four original storylines for the .hack franchise. Madlax is a 26-episode Japanese anime television series produced in 2004 by the Bee Train animation studio. Kōichi Mashimo directed Madlax and the soundtrack was composed by Yuki Kajiura. The DVD version was released by ADV Films in North America and the United Kingdom and by Madman Entertainment in Australia and New Zealand.

Aquarian Age: Sign for Evolution is a 13-episode television anime series based on the Aquarian Age collectible card game. The show was co-produced by Broccoli and Madhouse and aired in early 2002 on TV Tokyo. ADV Films released the show in the United States on DVD in three volumes containing both English subtitled and dubbed versions. A trailer for a live action movie was released in 2008. The Aquarian Age: Juvenile Orion movie was released on March 29, 2008.

Kalafina (カラフィナ) was a Japanese vocal group formed by composer Yuki Kajiura in 2007, mainly to perform theme songs for the anime Kara no Kyōkai, but later expanded to include many other theme songs for other anime shows and films including the Madoka Magica, Black Butler, Arslan Senki andFate/stay nightfranchises. They released five albums that have charted in the top 10 for Oricon. They disbanded in 2018–19.

The Xenosaga (ゼノサーガ) series is a series of science fiction role-playing video games developed by Monolith Soft and published by Namco Bandai on the PlayStation 2. The series began with the 2002 release of Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht, which was followed in 2004 by Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse and in 2006 by Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra. The music of Xenosaga includes the soundtracks to all three chapters, as well as the music for its spin-off media. These include Xenosaga Freaks, a set of minigames set between the first two chapters, Xenosaga I & II, a Nintendo DS remake of the first two chapters, and Xenosaga: The Animation, an anime series covering the events of the first game. Episode I was composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, Episode II was split between Yuki Kajiura and Shinji Hosoe, and Episode III was composed by Kajiura alone.
