Born in New York City to TV news producer Sy Kravitz and actress Roxie Roker, Kravitz was exposed to the entertainment industry at a young age. As a child, Lenny showed a keen interest in music, and by his teenage years, he began embarking on a music career with his style mixing rock, funk, reggae, hard rock, soul, and R&B.
