The Golden Globe Awards are awards presented for excellence in both international film and television. It is an annual award ceremony held since 1944 to honor artists and professionals and their work. The ceremony is normally held every January, and has been a major part of the film industry's awards season, which culminates each year in the Academy Awards. The eligibility period for Golden Globes corresponds from January 1 through December 31. The Golden Globes were not televised in 1969–1972, 1979, and 2022. The 2008 ceremony was canceled due to the 2007–08 Writers Guild of America strike.

Film Pilihan Tempo 2023 was held by Tempo magazine to honor the achievement in Indonesian cinema in 2023. The winners were announced in the 29 January 2024 edition of the magazine. Drama film Women from Rote Island was named Film Pilihan Tempo and won two other awards.
Film Pilihan Tempo 2022 was held by Tempo magazine to honor the achievement in Indonesian cinema in 2022. The winners were announced in the 18 December 2022 edition in the magazine. Thriller drama film Autobiography was named Film Pilihan Tempo and won two other awards. Period drama film Before, Now & Then also won three awards.
