Filmapalooza is the finale festival for the 48 Hour Film Project in which the winning films from cities worldwide (125 cities as of 2023) are screened the following year and compete with each other for awards. [1] It has existed since 2003. [1]
Filmapalooza is hosted by a different city each year. [2] The upcoming Filmapalooza, in 2025, will be held in Seattle, Washington.

Emmanuel Kabongo is a Canadian actor and film producer. Born and raised in Zaire, now present-day Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kabongo immigrated to Canada and began his acting career as an extra before achieving recognition for his performance as the lead protagonist in the Toronto-based web series Teenagers (2014–2017), for which he earned his first Canadian Screen Award nomination. Kabongo also co-produced the series.
Be My Cat: A Film for Anne is a 2015 Romanian found footage psychological horror film directed, produced, written, and starring Adrian Țofei, about an aspiring filmmaker who goes to extreme levels to convince actress Anne Hathaway to star in his film. The Heiress Lethal, also known as The Fatal Heir, is a 2010 American noir comedy short film directed by Michael Brueggemeyer and written by Marianne Bates. The film stars Merrick McCartha, Cristyn Chandler, Jim Teiper and Ron Christopher Jones. It won Best Film at 48 Hour Film Project San Diego and screened at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival after qualifying through Filmapalooza at the Miami International Film Festival. The film was later nominated for a Pacific Southwest Emmy Award at National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
