The Finland national football team represents Finland in men's international football competitions and is controlled by the Football Association of Finland, the governing body for football in Finland, which was founded in 1907. The team has been a member of FIFA since 1908 and a UEFA member since 1957.

The 2015 World Men's Handball Championship was the 24th staging of the World Men's Handball Championship, organised by the International Handball Federation (IHF). The final tournament was held for the first time in Qatar, from 15 January to 1 February 2015. The Qatari bid was selected over those of Norway, Poland and France after a vote by the IHF Council on 27 January 2011, in Malmö, Sweden. This was the third time that the World Championship was hosted in the Middle East And North Africa, after Egypt in 1999 and Tunisia in 2005.

It was held in the German Democratic Republic between 27 February and 8 March 1958.The 1974 World Men's Handball Championship was the eighth team handball World Championship. It was held in East Germany between 26 February-10 March 1974. On 30 July 1980, the team won the olympic tournament by defeating the Soviet Union, 23–22, in the final game in Moscow.
The 2017 IHF World Men's Handball Championship was the 25th event hosted by the International Handball Federation. The event was held in France from 11 to 29 January 2017.

This article lists the performances of each of the 62 national teams which have made at least one appearance in the Ice Hockey World Championships, an annual international men's ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), including the Olympic ice hockey tournament was also considered the World Championship for that year, and was held before the first Ice Hockey World Championship as an individual event in 1930. With the exception between 1940 and 1946, when no championships were held during World War II, nor were held during the Olympic years 1980, 1984, and 1988. In 2020, the IIHF announced that all World Championship tournaments have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions-related issues.

The European qualification for the 2023 World Men's Handball Championship determined nine European contestants at the final tournament, which joined six already qualified teams: Sweden and Poland, as co-hosts, Denmark, as title holder, and three best ranked teams at 2022 European Men's Handball Championship excluding Sweden, Poland and Denmark.
Germany participated at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris from 26 July to 11 August 2024. It was the nation's eighteenth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympic Games, except for 1920 and 1924 due to the nation's role in World War I, and 1948 for the nation's role in World War II. From 1956 through 1964, Germans competed as part of the United Team of Germany (UTG); in 1968, the team was split into two teams West Germany and East Germany. West Germany boycotted the 1980 games as part of the American-led boycott, and then returned in 1984. East Germany boycotted the 1984 games as part of the Soviet-led boycott, and in 1988, East Germany returned for the last time. One year after the fall of the Berlin Wall, West and East Germany re-united as one country with their reunification in 1990, and it has participated in every Summer Olympics since 1992 games in Barcelona.

Swedish athletes have appeared in every edition of the Summer Olympic Games except for the sparsely attended St. Louis 1904. The men's qualification for the Olympic handball tournament occurred between January 2023 and March 2024, assigning quota places to the twelve squads for the Games: the hosts, the world champion, four continental events winners, and six teams from the IHF World Olympic qualifying tournaments, respectively.
