Flavia Tumusiime is a Ugandan actress, media personality, Media and Tech Communications Consultant, radio and television host, [3] [4] voice-over artist, emcee and author of 30 Days of Flavia. [5] She formerly hosted a mid-morning radio show (AM-PM Show) on 91.3 Capital FM radio in Kampala, former co-host of Morning @ NTV on NTV Uganda and news anchor [6] on NTV Tonight news and is a VJ for Channel O. [7] She played the role of Kamali Tenywa (lead role) in Nana Kagga's television series, Beneath The Lies - The Series from 2014 to 2016 and has co-hosted the Guinness Football Challenge. [8] [9]

Early life and education

Tumusiime was born in 1989 [10] in Kampala and is the only child of Enoch Tumusiime and Christine Asiimwe, who hail from Kabale, South Western Uganda. [11] She attended St Theresa Kisubi for primary school, then joined Kitante Hill Secondary School for both "O" and "A" levels. She then attended Makerere University Business School where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in International Business. [11] [12]

Personal life

Flavia Tumusiime got married to Andrew Kabuura a Sports Broadcaster at NBS Television on January 12, 2019. [13] The couple has 3 children including the twins. [14]

Television

Tumusiime has been a television presenter since she was teenager. She started presenting on WBS TV's teen's club, a show she did with other teens for four years. [3] Between 2010 and 2012, she presented K-files, another program on WBS TV. Since 2011, she has presented the Guinness football challenge. It has been aired on NTV (Uganda) and ITV & KTN (Kenya). In the same period, she has been a VJ on Channel O. [15] She was also a presenter for Big Brother Africa in 2012. [16] [17]

Flavia joined NTV Uganda as a news anchor on NTV Tonight in 2016. She is a former co-host of a morning show Morning @ NTV which she started early 2018.

Radio

Tumusiime had a short stint working as a presenter on HOT100 FM in 2006 before finally settling at Capital FM where she has been to date. [3] [11]

<i>Beneath the Lies – The Series</i> Ugandan TV series or program

Beneath The Lies is a Ugandan television drama-mystery series created by Nana Kagga Macpherson and starring Flavia Tumusiime, Natasha Sinayobye, Gaetano Kagwa, Hellen Lukoma, Rabadaba, Deedan Muyira, Cedric Babu Ndilima, Patrick Salvado Idringi and Susan Naava as regular cast members. The series was directed by Joseph Kitsha Kyasi and Tosh Gitonga. It was originally produced by Savannah MOON Productions, and Kinetic Media Group before all production was taken over by 40Plus Productions, a production house co-owned by Nana Kagga and Cedric Babu Ndilima. It airs on Sundays at 9:30 p.m. EAT, on New Vision Group's Urban TV Uganda.

Malaika Tenshi Nnyanzi professionally known by her mononym as Malaika is a Ugandan actress, media personality, model and fashionista. She is mostly known for her radio work on the D’Mighty Breakfast show on KFM and Malaika and Oulanya on Capital Fm as well as her acting work on Veronica's Wish, Bed of Thorns, The Honourables and Mela.

Sheilah Gashumba is a Ugandan media personality, TV host and digital influencer. She formerly hosted NBS After5 an entertainment show on NBS Television and currently, a radio presenter at NRG Uganda and host of DSTV's 'House of Chefs' in South Africa.
