The song has peaked at number 26 on the US Billboard Hot 100. To date, this is Rich Homie Quan's highest-charting single as a solo artist. As of August 2015, "Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)" has sold 425,000 copies domestically. [2]

Music video

A music video for "Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)" was released on April 1, 2015. [3] It was directed by Be El Be. [4] The video is notable for its high levels of stunting, and also serves as the preeminent example of "hitting the Quan." [5]

On September 27, 2013, the official remix, featuring Jeezy and Meek Mill was released. The single garnered positive reviews from critics for both Quan's unique flow and Carter's production creating a catchy anthem. "Type of Way" peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Hot 100, his highest charting solo single on that chart until 2015's "Flex ". It also peaked at numbers 8, 12 and 21 on the Hot Rap Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Rhythmic charts respectively. The song was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), denoting sales of over 500,000 units in that country. An accompanying music video for the single was directed by Motion Family.
