Florencia Sophie Sabine Lenne "Florence" Ferreira Fernandes (born 1 December 1968 in Lille [1] ) is a Portuguese slalom canoeist who competed from the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s (decade). She finished 22nd in the K-1 event at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Four years later in Sydney, Fernandes finished 20th after being eliminated in the qualifying round of the K-1 event.
Markus Oscarsson is a Swedish sprint kayaker who has competed since 1995. Competing in five Summer Olympics, he won two medals in the K-2 1000 m event with a gold in 2004 and a silver in 2000.
Mikko Yrjö Ilmari Kolehmainen is a Finnish canoe sprinter who competed from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s. Competing in four Summer Olympics, he won the gold medal in the K-1 500 m event at Barcelona in 1992. Kolehmainen's victory was Finland's only gold medal at those games.
The Maldives competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, from 17 September to 2 October 1988. This marked their first time participating in the Olympic Games.
