Florida's 11th House district elects one member of the Florida House of Representatives. The district representative seat is currently held by Sam Garrison since the 2022 United States House of Representatives elections. [1] [2] Following the 2020 United States redistricting cycle, Florida redrew district borders, changing its location from Northeast Jacksonville to Southeast Jacksonville, west of Fruit Cove, containing Middleburg. As of the 2010 Census, the district's population is 177,922. [3] [4]
This district features a large military presence, serving as a bedroom community for the various naval bases in Jacksonville, as well as Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in nearby St. Marys, Georgia. This district contains Naval Station Mayport, located in Mayport, and the Blount Island Command, located on Blount Island.
There was a vacancy between November 22, 1988 and January 18, 1989 as the incumbent, Gene Hodges, resigned after being appointed to the Florida Parole Commission. Army veteran Allen Boyd won a special election to fill the seat.
There was a vacancy between September 1, 1998 and November 4, 1998 as the incumbent, Randy Mackey, resigned after being convicted of federal tax evasion. The seat remained vacant until the general election a few months later.
There is a vacancy since May 16, 2022 as the incumbent, Cord Byrd, resigned after being chosen by Governor Ron DeSantis to become the 31st secretary of state of Florida. [5] There is an upcoming primary election on August 23, 2022, and a general election on November 8, 2022.

The 2004 United States House of Representatives elections were held on November 2, 2004 to elect all 435 seats of the chamber. It coincided with the re-election of President George W. Bush as well as many Senate elections and gubernatorial elections. Prior to the election in the 108th Congress, Republicans held 227 seats, Democrats held 205, with two Republican vacancies and one independent. As a result of this election, the 109th Congress began composed of 232 Republicans, 201 Democrats, one independent, and one vacancy.

The 2022 United States House of Representatives elections were held on November 8, 2022, as part of the 2022 United States elections during incumbent president Joe Biden's term. Representatives were elected from all 435 U.S. congressional districts across each of the 50 states to serve in the 118th United States Congress, as well as 5 non-voting members of the U.S. House of Representatives from the District of Columbia and four of the five inhabited insular areas. Frank Carroll is an American politician and a Republican member of the Arizona Senate representing District 28 since January 9, 2023. He was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023, representing House District 22. Carroll was first elected in 2018 to succeed State Representative David Livingston, who instead ran for State Senate.

The district is located entirely within Jacksonville, though it only contains part of the city center. As of the 2010 Census, the district's population is 158,781. This district is majority-minority.

The district covers northwestern Duval County, including much of Northside neighborhood and parts of Westside and Downtown Jacksonville. The largest city in the district is Jacksonville, though it only contains part of the city. As of the 2010 census, the district's population is 155,895. This district is majority-minority.
The 2022 elections for the Florida State Senate took place on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, to elect state senators from all 40 districts. Although on ordinary years, 20 senators are elected at a time on a staggered basis, races following redistricting elect all 40 members to ensure that each member represents an equal number of constituents. The Republican Party expanded their Senate majority from 24 to 28, gaining a supermajority in the Senate. The concurrently held House elections also resulted in a supermajority, giving Republicans supermajority control of the legislature.
