Floyd County Schools is the school district created to serve the public education needs of Floyd County, Kentucky.

The district has 13 schools serving a total of about six thousand students.

The school district comprises seven elementary schools  :

At the end of the 2016–17 school year, McDowell and Osborne Elementary closed. The two schools consolidated into a single school at the campus that was occupied by South Floyd High School, which also closed at that time. [8]

There is one middle school serving grades 6-8:

And three high schools serving grades 9-12:

At the end of the 2016–17 school year, Allen Central and South Floyd closed and consolidated into the new Floyd Central High School at a new campus in Eastern. [8]

There are also some schools organized for non-traditional learning:

In 2020, the Floyd County School of Innovation opened in the same building that houses RLC. Students go for half a day to take classes related to STEM.

Angleton ISD is a public school district in Angleton, Texas (USA), operating 5 levels of education. Established in 1897, AISD encompasses 396 square miles (1,030 km2) in Brazoria County, serving Angleton as well as the Village of Bonney, the Sandy Point census-designated place, parts of the CDP of Rosharon, and the unincorporated areas of Chocolate Bayou, Lochridge, and Otey.

Pulaski County Special School District No. 1 (PCSSD) is one of four public school districts in Pulaski County, Arkansas—along with the Little Rock School District, the North Little Rock School District, and the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District—accredited by the Arkansas Department of Education. PCSSD has its headquarters in Sweet Home, an unincorporated area near southeastern Little Rock.

Allen Central High School was a Title I American high school located in Eastern, Floyd County, Kentucky, United States, and was one of four public high schools in the Floyd County School system. The school colors were Columbia blue and gray; however, over time dark red has been added.

Bland Independent School District is a public school district in the community of Merit, Texas (USA). In addition to Merit, the district serves Floyd and Wagner in Hunt County. A small portion of the district extends into Collin County. The district operates one high school, Bland High School.

Sealy Independent School District

Sealy Independent School District is a public school district based in Sealy, Texas (USA). In addition to Sealy, the district serves the towns of San Felipe and Brazos Country serving students in southern Austin County. Sealy Independent School District is the only school district in Austin county with its own police department.

Bishop Consolidated Independent School District is a public school district based in the town of Bishop, in Nueces County, Texas (USA). In addition to Bishop, the district also serves the city of Petronila.

The Texarkana Arkansas School District (TASD) is a U.S. school district founded in 1911 serving Texarkana, Arkansas. It is district No. 7, and is part of Miller County, Arkansas. TASD7 established itself as a magnet school system in 2005 at the elementary and middle school levels and later expanded its magnet school program to include North Heights Jr. High and Arkansas High School in 2006.

South Floyd High School (SFHS) was a secondary school located in Hi Hat, Floyd County, Kentucky, U.S.A., and was one of five public high schools in the Floyd County School system.

Lawrence County School District is a public school district headquartered in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and serving the communities of Lawrence County. Lawrence County School District employs over more than 175 faculty and staff to provide educational programs for students ranging from prekindergarten through twelfth grade and enrolls more than 1,100 students.

Janet Lynn Stumbo is a former associate justice of the Kentucky Court of Appeals, the second woman to ever serve on the court. From 1993 to 2004, she was an associate justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court, becoming the first woman elected to that court.
