Anti-Flag is an American punk rock band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The band is known for its left-wing political activism. Their current members include Justin Sane, Chris Head (guitar), Pat Thetic (drums), and Chris Barker or Chris No. 2. The band was originally formed by Justin Sane and Pat Thetic in 1988. Notable past members include the bassists Jamie "Cock" Towns and Andy Flag. Anti-Flag is also known for its advocacy of progressive political movements such as Greenpeace, Amnesty International, and the Occupy movement.

Chad Gilbert (Shai Hulud and later New Found Glory) co-wrote and helped record every song on the album, but he was soon dismissed from Hazen Street by New Found Glory's record label due to a contract dispute. He was replaced by Brian "Mitts" Daniels of Madball.

Thacker is also the rhythm guitarist for fellow Canadian rock band Sum 41.
Matchbook Romance was an American emo band from Poughkeepsie, New York and was formed in 1997. They were signed to Epitaph Records. They released two full-length albums and one EP. Their EP, West for Wishing, released in 2003 was their first recorded album during their time on Epitaph; their full-length debut album, Stories and Alibis, was recorded in the same year.
Disclaimer II is the second studio album by South African rock band Seether. It is a recompilation of the band's first album, Disclaimer, from 2002. Although the 12 tracks from the original album are present, they have been slightly remixed and differ from the original. Also, the majority of the remixed tracks feature additional lead guitar melodies with the addition of a permanent lead guitarist to the band's line-up prior to the release of the album. This is also the first Seether album to feature contributions from their current drummer John Humphrey. In Europe, the album includes four tracks more than its predecessor; in the United States, the album has eight extra tracks, some of which had been previously released on soundtracks, such as "Hang On," which had been featured on the 2003 Daredevil soundtrack and "Out of My Way," which had been featured on the soundtrack to the 2003 horror film Freddy vs. Jason as well as the 2017 film Transformers: The Last Knight. "Fine Again" also appeared on Madden NFL 2003 and 1080° Avalanche.
Alive & Amplified is The Mooney Suzuki's third studio album, and their second under Columbia Records. Released on August 24, 2004, it came two years after their third album, Electric Sweat. It was recorded in various locations, including Paramount Studios, Ameraycan Studios, and Decoy Studios, all located in Los Angeles, California. Of its content, the band said it is "dense, kaleidoscopic, and that you could spend hours uncovering little nuggets of goodness." Many of the songs assume sexual innuendos, such as "Primitive Condition", "Alive & Amplified", "Shake That Bush Again", "Loose 'n' Juicy", "Messin' in the Dressin' Room", and "Naked Lady". Of the song "New York Girls", Sammy James, Jr. said "I love the song California Girls, and the women of New York didn't get a fair shake in California Girls, and he thought the New York Girls needed their fair shake, so we gave that to them."

Earl Greyhound is an American rock trio from Brooklyn consisting of Matt Whyte, Kamara Thomas, and Ricc Sheridan (drums). Sheridan replaced original drummer Christopher Bear just after the band recorded its first full-length album. They were first signed to Some Records but later started their own label, Hawk Race Records. Their music is heavily influenced by blues rock and hard rock bands of both the 1990s and the 1970s, and the intertwined vocals of Whyte and Thomas are a key component of the band's sound. After an EP in 2004, the band's first full-length album, Soft Targets, was released in 2006, followed by Suspicious Package in 2010. The band then went on an extended hiatus. Kamara Thomas, with backing band The Ghost Gamblers, released the album Earth Hero in 2013. Matt Whyte released the album To a Deer Outside Ithaca with the indie-pop duo Rupe Shearns in 2017.

From First to Last is the third album by From First to Last, released on May 6, 2008 through Suretone and Interscope Records. "Worlds Away" is the album's first single, which hit the radio on March 17. This is the first full-length album by the band without Sonny Moore (Skrillex) as lead vocalist; the band's guitarist, Matt Good, takes over from him. In contrast to the band's previous album Heroine, the album features a more accessible, alternative rock sound.
