In 2012, Foreman High School was nationally recognized with the Silver Award in the U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools ranking report as the No. 12 school in the state and No. 1,617 in the nation. [2] The high school has been accredited by AdvancED since 1964. [3]

Founded as a newsweekly magazine in 1933, U.S. News transitioned to primarily web-based publishing in 2010. AdvancED is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that accredits primary and secondary schools throughout the United States and internationally. AdvancED was formed in 2006 by the consolidation of the pre-college divisions of two of the U.S. regional accreditation organizations: the Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Council on Accreditation and School Improvement of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. In 2012 the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) joined AdvancED.
