Sandnes is a city and municipality in Rogaland, Norway. It lies immediately south of Stavanger, the 4th largest city in Norway and together, the Stavanger/Sandnes area is the third-largest urban area in Norway. The urban city of Sandnes lies in the extreme western part of the vast municipality and it makes up about 5% of the total land area of the municipality.
Meland is a former municipality in the Nordhordland district in the old Hordaland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1923 until its dissolution on 1 January 2020 when it was merged into the new Alver Municipality in Vestland county. The municipality was located about 30 minutes north of the city of Bergen in Western Norway. The island municipality was mostly located on the island of Holsnøy, where the administrative centre of Frekhaug is located. Other villages in Meland include Hjartås, Holme, Io, Krossneset, Meland, and Rossland.

Åkrehamn (help·info) or Åkrahamn is a small town in Karmøy municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The town is located on the west side of the island of Karmøy in the traditional district of Haugaland. The town sits about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) west of the town of Kopervik, about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) north of the town of Skudeneshavn, and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of the town of Haugesund. The village of Veavågen lies immediately to the northeast of Åkrehamn.

This gives the borough a population density of 1,505 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,900/sq mi).

Jåtten or Jåttå is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the borough Hinna, just north of Godeset and Gausel. The neighborhood has a population of 13,760, distributed over an area of 12.58 square kilometres (4.86 sq mi). The Jåttåknuten hill lies at the southern part of the neighborhood. Jåttå Upper Secondary School is located here too.

It is located in the northern part of the mainland borough of Tasta. The Indre Tasta neighborhood lies to the south, the Gandsfjorden is to the east, and the municipality of Randaberg is to the north and west. The neighborhood has a population of 7,909 which is distributed over an area of 6.01 square kilometres (2.32 sq mi). Vardeneset Church is located in this neighborhood.
Stavanger Airport, Forus is a former airport located at Forus in the intersection of the municipalities of Stavanger, Sola and Sandnes. It was built as a military air base by the Luftwaffe following the German occupation of Norway in April 1940. It was gradually expanded so that it by 1943 consisted of three runways, the longest 1,950 meters (6,400 ft). The airfield was connected by a 3.6-kilometer (2.2 mi) taxiway to Sola Air Station. The airport served as an offensive base during the Battle of Britain, and was afterwards made part of the defensive Festung Norwegen.

Gausel Station is a railway station in Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located at Gausel in the city of Stavanger. Located 9 kilometers (5.6 mi) from Stavanger Station, it is served by the Jæren Commuter Rail operated by Go-Ahead Norge by up to four hourly trains in each direction. The station is located along the double track section of the Sørlandet Line. The original station at Gausel was opened in 1902, and the station building was completed in 1908. This station was closed in 1966. The new station was opened on 16 November 2009 as part of the new double track from Stavanger to Sandnes. It is co-located with a Kolumbus bus stop, allowing transfer to several routes.
Stokkavatnet is a former lake that was located at Forus in Stavanger, Norway, between the two fjords Hafrsfjord and Gandsfjord. The lake was among the largest at the Northern Jæren district, with an area of about 4 km2. It was surrounded by considerable areas of marsh land, and was known for a rich birdlife. The lake drained to Gandsfjord, and the outlet supplied six mills located near the fjord.

It is located in the western part of the borough of Storhaug, just west of Nylund. It is served by Paradis Station of the Jæren Commuter Rail.

Åmøy is an island in Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 5.3-square-kilometre (2.0 sq mi) island lies just north of the city of Stavanger in a group of islands. The islands of Sokn and Bru both lie to the west of Åmøy and the islands of Mosterøy and Rennesøy lie to the north, and the island of Hidle lies to the east.
Møllebukta is a small bay with a sandy beach in the inner part of the Hafrsfjorden in the borough of Madla in the city of Stavanger in the southwestern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is named after the Møllebekken creek which flows into the bay on the west side of the beach area. The area historically was utilized for running a corn mill. A park was established in the bay in the 18th century. The beach has a length of about 100 metres (330 ft) and it is popular for swimming and sunbathing.
