Frances Clytie Rivett-Carnac née Greenstock was a British sailor who competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics. She was a crew member of the British boat Heroine III, the only boat in the 7 metre class. Because a second British entry failed to make it to the start, the boat was required to complete just one lap of two races to win. Her husband Charles Rivett-Carnac was also a crew member and won Olympic gold. Their granddaughter Cleone Rivett-Carnac was an athlete in New Zealand.
Frances Cowells Schroth was an American competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and former world record-holder. She represented the United States at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, Belgium. She won the gold medal as member of the first-place U.S. team in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay, together with Margaret Woodbridge, Irene Guest and Ethelda Bleibtrey. The American relay team set a new world record of 5:11.6 in the event final. Individually, she also won bronze medals for her third-place performances in the women's 100-meter freestyle (1:17.2) and the women's 300-meter freestyle (4:52.0).
Margaret Darling Woodbridge, also known by her married name Margaret Presley, was an American competition swimmer for the Detroit Athletic Club, a 1920 Antwerp Olympic gold medalist, and a world record-holder. She was a member of the first U.S. Olympic Women's swimming team.

Chad competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, which was held from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This marked the nation's eleventh appearance at the Summer Olympics since its debut in the 1964 Summer Olympics. The Chadian delegation included track and field athlete Hinikissia Ndikert and judoka Carine Ngarlemdana. Ngarlemdana was the flag bearer for the opening ceremony and Ndikert was the flag bearer for the closing ceremony. Neither of Chad's athletes progressed beyond the first round of their events.
