Frank Christopher Stanislaus Anthony is a Guyanese politician. He is the current Minister of Health for the Government of Guyana. [1] Anthony was appointed Minister in August 2020 by President Irfaan Ali. [2]
Anthony attended Peoples' Friendship University of Russia where he studied medicine and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. He also attended Hebrew University where he obtained a Master's in Public Health degree. [3] Prior to his nomination as minister, Anthony served as executive director of the Health Sector Development Unit Ministry of Health. [4]
Valerie Ann Amos, Baroness Amos, is a British Labour Party politician and diplomat who served as the eighth UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator. Before her appointment to the UN, she served as British High Commissioner to Australia. She was created a life peer in 1997, serving as Leader of the House of Lords and Lord President of the Council from 2003 to 2007.
Bharrat Jagdeo is a Guyanese politician who has been serving as Vice President of Guyana since 2020, in the administration of President Irfaan Ali. He had previously also held the office from 1997 until 1999, during the presidency of Janet Jagan. Jagdeo subsequently served as the President of Guyana from 11 August 1999 to 3 December 2011. Sam Ominyi Egwu CON is a Nigerian politician and member of People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria. He was elected Governor of Ebonyi State in the 1999 Ebonyi State gubernatorial election from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. Ranji Chandisingh was a political leader in Guyana. He was born on 5 January 1930 at San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, and died on 15 June 2009 at his home at Waterloo Street, Guyana. He was the son of Dr. Charles Washington Chandisingh and Amelia Chandisingh. Chandisingh is survived by his wife Veronica and son Yuri. He was among only a few that mastered the pragmatics of communist ideology in Guyana.
Rahul M. Jindal is an American transplant surgeon, professor, humanitarian and author. In 2008, he set up a renal replacement therapy program which led to the only comprehensive kidney transplant and dialysis program in Guyana. As of 2019, he is a professor in the Department of Surgery at Uniformed Services University, Bethesda, Maryland. Since 2008, he has been an attending transplant surgeon at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where he performs kidney transplants and mentors senior-level students and residents in surgical sciences and global health. Since 2005, he has been a Commissioner at the Montgomery County Office of Human Rights, Maryland. He also serves as Commissioner for the Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism in Maryland. Jindal is also an adjunct Professor of Global Health at the Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar.
Mohamed Irfaan Ali is a Guyanese politician serving as the tenth and current president of Guyana since 2020. A member of the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C), he previously served as the minister of Housing and water from 2009 to 2015. He is the first Muslim to hold office, and is the second Muslim head of state in the Americas after Noor Hassanali of Trinidad and Tobago.
