Franklintown is an unincorporated community in Nassau County, Florida, United States. It is located in the southern half of Amelia Island, on A1A near the Amelia River.

Indian Trail is a suburban town in Union County, North Carolina, United States. Founded on March 12, 1861, the town holds a history of traders traveling along the "Indian Trail," which ran from Petersburg, Virginia, to the Waxhaw Indians, and gold mining. Indian Trail was first a farming community; however, German and Scot-Irish settlers began to move into the area due to its geographical location. In 1874, the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad was built between the cities Charlotte, North Carolina and Monroe, North Carolina. The railroad, which runs through the town, brought prosperity to the area. Indian Trail was incorporated as a town in 1907, with established city limits based upon a one-half mile radius from the intersection of Indian Trail Road and the Seaboard Railroad. Every Fourth of July the town holds an annual parade which is one of the biggest parades in the Charlotte metropolitan area.

The United States Border Patrol operates 71 traffic checkpoints, including 33 permanent traffic checkpoints, near the Mexico–United States border. Amelia Island Plantation resort in Amelia Island, FL

Amelia Island Resort is a luxury resort community located on Amelia Island, Florida, the westernmost barrier island on the Atlantic Ocean in the U.S. The resort's tennis facility hosted the Bausch & Lomb Championships, a major Women's Tennis Association tournament, for 20 years. The 404-room hotel on the property is now part of Omni Hotels & Resorts.

Boneyard Beach (Florida)

Boneyard Beach is a mile-long beach in Big Talbot Island State Park, near the city of Fernandina Beach, Florida, south of Amelia Island down the First Coast Highway. The "boneyard beach" is so called because of the bleached skeletons of oaks along the beach. By coincidence park archaeologists have also found fossilized mammoth bones on the beach nearly as big as the trees. Big Talbot's Boneyard Beach is not recommended for swimming but is popular with photographers. The beach lies beyond a 20-foot bluff.
