Fresh Filter: Volume 1 is a compilation album of OPM songs by various local indie music acts that heard on Jam 88.3's supplemental program Fresh Filter. The compilation album is a joint project of Jam 88.3 and local vinyl retailer Satchmi, and is produced by the show's host Russ Davis. [1]

It is composed of 12 tracks (in a 2-disc vinyl set) which are performed by local and unsigned Filipino indie music artists/bands (A Problem Like Maria, Autotelic, B.P. Valenzuela, Bullet Dumas, Cheats, Flying Ipis, Library Kids, Moonwlk, Ourselves the Elves, Tandems' 91, The Ransom Collective, and Yolanda Moon). [2] [3] [4]

So Fresh is an Australian compilation album series. It began in 2000, as a joint venture from Sony, BMG and Universal, replacing the prior Hit Machine series, which ran from 1993 to 2000. From 2000 until 2023, So Fresh albums were released four times per year, named after each season, consisting of current hit songs from artists signed to Sony, BMG or Universal. In March 2024, So Fresh announced that the series would change to a single annual edition, with So Fresh: 2024 due for release in November 2024.

Fresh Sounds From Middle America was the third album released in the series of compilations featuring bands from the Midwest region of America. The mix of styles was about half punk rock and half alternative rock. The best known of the bands included are the Micronotz, the Pedal Jets and the Homestead Grays. This volume was presented by "Redline and KJHK".

Fresh Sounds Records was an independent record label from Lawrence, Kansas, run by local music promoter Bill Rich. Acts that have been on the label include Get Smart!, the Embarrassment, the Mortal Micronotz, Start, SPK, the Homestead Grays and William S. Burroughs.
