William Howard Ashton, known professionally as Billy J. Kramer, is an English pop singer. With The Dakotas, Kramer was managed by Brian Epstein during the 1960s and scored hits with several Lennon–McCartney compositions never recorded by the Beatles, among them the UK number one "Bad to Me" (1963). Kramer and the Dakotas had a further UK chart-topper in 1964 with "Little Children" and achieved U.S. success as part of the British Invasion. Since the end of the beat boom, Kramer has continued to record and perform. His autobiography, Do You Want to Know a Secret, was published in 2016.
Curiosity Killed the Cat was a British pop band that achieved success in the UK in the late 1980s, with hit singles such as "Down to Earth", "Misfit" and "Ordinary Day", from their No. 1 debut album, Keep Your Distance. This was followed by Getahead with the accompanying hit "Name and Number", that was recreated by De La Soul in "Ring Ring Ring ". In the early 1990s, the band's bassist left, and billed as 'Curiosity' they collaborated with Simon Cowell recording "Hang On in There Baby" on the album Back to Front.
"Tie Your Mother Down" is a song by the British rock band Queen, written by lead guitarist Brian May. It is the opening track and the second single from their 1976 album A Day at the Races. On its original release as a single in 1977 the song peaked at 31 in the UK Singles Chart. More than 20 years later, it was released as a double a-side to "No-One but You " where it reached 13 in UK Singles Chart. On the album the song is preceded by a one-minute instrumental intro featuring a Shepard tone melody, performed by Brian May, which is reprised in the ending of "Teo Torriatte": this was intended to create a "circle" within the album.
The Kills are an English-American rock duo formed by American singer Alison "VV" Mosshart and English guitarist Jamie "Hotel" Hince. They are signed to Domino Records. Their first four albums, Keep On Your Mean Side, No Wow, Midnight Boom, and Blood Pressures, all reached the UK album chart. Their fifth and most recent studio album, Ash & Ice, was released in 2016 and reached the UK Top 20 album chart.

Writing on the Wall is the fifth studio album by the British pop group Bucks Fizz. It was released on 24 November 1986 and featured the comeback top ten single "New Beginning ". The Kills are an Anglo-American indie rock band formed by American vocalist Alison "VV" Mosshart and British guitarist Jamie "Hotel" Hince. Since 2002, The Kills have released five studio albums, four extended plays, nineteen singles, sixteen music videos, a documentary, and have contributed original material to two compilations. The Kills debuted in 2002 with the Black Rooster EP, released on Domino Records. The duo's debut full-length album, Keep on Your Mean Side, was released the following year. The album peaked at number 47 on the United Kingdom Albums Chart, while the single "Fried my Little Brains" peaked at number 55 on the UK Singles Chart. The Kills followed up with No Wow in 2005 and Midnight Boom in 2008, both of which were also released on Domino. No Wow was the first of the group's releases to chart in the United States, peaking at number 18 on the Billboard "Top Heatseekers" chart. No Wow also charted in the UK, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. The group's third album, Midnight Boom charted in a total of nine countries, including the album's first appearance on the Billboard 200 at number 133. Between The Kills' 16 singles, five have charted in the United Kingdom. A tour documentary titled I Hate the Way You Love was included with a limited number of copies of No Wow.
