Frik van Rooyen (born 6 November 1936) is a South African boxer. He competed in the men's middleweight event at the 1960 Summer Olympics. [1]

Cornelius Gerhardus van Rooyen, better known as Gert van Rooyen, was a South African paedophile and serial killer who abducted, sexually assaulted and murdered at least six young girls between 1988 and 1989. He was aided in his crimes by a female accomplice, his mistress Joey Haarhoff. In early 1990, when faced with arrest after the escape of their latest kidnap victim, Van Rooyen killed Haarhoff and himself in a murder-suicide. Despite later evidence against them, the two were never formally convicted due to their deaths and the bodies of their alleged victims were never found.

Johannes Petrus "Johan" Roux is a retired South African rugby player, who played for the South Africa national rugby union team.

Belgium sent a delegation to compete at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from 12–28 February 2010. Henriette Louise "Hette" Borrias is a retired Dutch rower. She competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics in the coxed fours, together with Liesbeth Vosmaer-de Bruin, Myriam van Rooyen-Steenman, Ans Gravesteijn and Monique Pronk, and finished in fifth place. She won a European title in this event in 1973 and finished fifth at the 1975 World championships. In late 1970s she focused on single sculls and won a bronze medal at the 1979 World Championships. Next year she competed in this event at the 1980 Summer Olympics, but failed to reach the final.

Liesbeth Simone Vosmaer-de Bruin is a retired Dutch rower. She competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics in the coxed fours, together with Hette Borrias, Myriam van Rooyen-Steenman, Ans Gravesteijn and Monique Pronk, and finished in fifth place. She won a European title in this event in 1973, with Hette Borrias, Myriam van Rooyen-Steenman, Yvonne Vischschraper and Liesbeth Pascal-de Graaff. At the world championships, her team was fifth in 1975 and seventh in 1977 and 1978.

Maria Hendrika Leonarda "Myriam" van Rooyen-Steenman is a retired Dutch rower. She competed at the pre1972 Summer Olympics and the 1976 Summer Olympics in the coxed fours and finished in respectively first and in fifth place. She won a European title in this event in 1973, won a silver medal at the 1974 World Championships and finished fifth at the 1975 World Championships.
