Fritz Aanes (born 20 July 1978) is a Norwegian Greco-Roman wrestling coach, TV personality and former wrestler. He is a two-time Olympian and competed in the Greco-Roman 85 kg event at the 2000 Summer Olympics and in the Greco-Roman 84 kg event at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He is a Nordic Championships gold, two-time silver, and bronze medallist, and eight-time national champion. [1] [2]

Aanes placed fourth at the 2000 Summer Olympics, but was later disqualified after testing positive for the banned substance nandrolone and was banned for 15 months. [2] [3] Aanes retired from competing in 2008. [4] Following his retirement, he became part of the coaching staff of the Norwegian national wrestling team in 2013 and was head coach from 2017 to 2022. [2] [5] Aanes has also made appearances in Norwegian reality TV series and competitions. [6]

Karam Ibrahim Gaber is an Egyptian Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the gold medal in the Men's Greco-Roman 96 kg at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Gaber won the silver medal at the 2003 World Championships. At the 2012 London Olympics, he won his second Olympic medal, winning a silver. He was suspended by United World Wrestling for two years in August 2015, because of a whereabouts failure during his doping test. In February 2024, Gaber announced his retirement from Greco-Roman wrestling.

The men's Greco-Roman 85 kilograms at the 2000 Summer Olympics as part of the wrestling program was held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre from September 25 to 27. The competition held with an elimination system of three or four wrestlers in each pool, with the winners qualify for the quarterfinals, semifinals and final by way of direct elimination.

Rıza Kayaalp is a five time world champion and twelve time European champion Turkish wrestler competing in the 130 kg division of Greco-Roman wrestling. He won silver at the 2016 Summer Olympics and won bronze medals at the 2012 and 2020 Summer Olympics. He is a graduate of the Aksaray University Physical Education and Sports Academy and studies his master's degree at Bozok University.

Uzbekistan competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from July 27 to August 12, 2012. This was the nation's fifth consecutive appearance at the Olympics. The National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan sent the nation's smallest delegation to the Games in the post-Soviet era. Gocha Tsitsiashvili is a retired amateur Israeli Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's light heavyweight category. Considering one of the world's top Greco-Roman wrestlers in his decade, Tsitsiashvili had claimed numerous medals in the international scene, including his prestigious gold from the 2003 World Wrestling Championships, and later represented as part of the Israeli team in three editions of the Olympic Games. Tsitsiashvili also became a member of the Hapoel Be'er Sheva Club under his personal coach Yakov Masin.

Dimitrios Avramis is a retired amateur Greek Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's light heavyweight category. Dimitrios Avramis has claimed a silver medal in the 76-kg division at the 1997 Mediterranean Games in Bari, Italy, picked up a bronze at the 1999 World Wrestling Championships in Athens, and later represented his nation Greece in two editions of the Olympic Games.

Behrouz Jamshidi (Persian: بهروز جمشيدی; born August 23, 1972, in is a retired amateur Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's light heavyweight category. On January 3, 2000, the International Federation of Associated Wrestling ordered him a two-year suspension from competition for testing positive for doping.

Hamdy El-Said Abdelwahab is an Egyptian Greco-Roman wrestler and mixed martial artist currently competing in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He competed in the men's Greco-Roman 98 kg event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in which he was eliminated in the round of 16 by Alin Alexuc-Ciurariu.

Abdellatif Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed is an Egyptian Greco-Roman wrestler. He competed in the men's Greco-Roman 130 kg event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in which he was eliminated in the round of 32 by Oleksandr Chernetskyi.

Aliaksandr Hrabovik is a Belarusian Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the silver medal in the men's 97 kg event at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus.

Iuri Lomadze is a Georgian Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the silver medal in the 72 kg event at the 2020 European Wrestling Championships held in Rome, Italy.

Mohamed Ibrahim El-Sayed is an Egyptian Greco-Roman wrestler. He won one of the bronze medals in the 67 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. In 2019, he represented Egypt at the African Games held in Rabat, Morocco and won the gold medal in the men's Greco-Roman 67 kg event. He is a two-time U23 World Champion.

Oskar Marvik is a Norwegian Greco-Roman wrestler. He is a World Championships and European Championships bronze medallist in the 130 kg category. Marvik won a bronze medal in the Greco-Roman 130 kg event at the 2021 World Championships in Oslo and the Greco-Roman 130 kg event at the 2023 European Championships in Zagreb.
