Vertigo is an album by American saxophonist Jackie McLean recorded in 1962 and 1963 but not released on the Blue Note label until 1980. The original 1980 release contained only the five tracks from 1963, while the later 2000 limited CD edition, released as part of the "Connoisseur Series", added six tracks from a 1962 session originally marked for release as Jackie McLean Quintet, first issued in 1978 as part of a double LP entitled Hipnosis.

Midnight Blue is a 1963 album by Jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell featuring Stanley Turrentine on tenor saxophone, Major Holley on double bass, Bill English on drums and Ray Barretto on conga, and is one of Burrell's best-known works for Blue Note. Jazz Improv magazine lists the album among its top five recommended recordings for Burrell, indicating that "[i]f you need to know 'the Blue Note sound', here it is". In 2005, NPR included the album in its "Basic Jazz Library", describing it as "one of the great jazzy blues records". The album has been re-issued by Blue Note and the French label Classics.
The Kicker is the first album by jazz saxophonist Joe Henderson released on the Milestone label. It was recorded on August 10, 1967 with one track coming from a later session on September 27 and features performances by Henderson with Mike Lawrence, Grachan Moncur III, Kenny Barron, Ron Carter and Louis Hayes. The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow states that "Joe Henderson's first recording for Milestone was very much a continuation of the adventurous acoustic music he had recorded previously for Blue Note".

Back to the Tracks is a hard bop album by tenor saxophonist Tina Brooks recorded in 1960 and released posthumously. The tracks first appeared in a Mosaic 12" LP box-set (MR4-106) entitled The Complete Blue Note Recordings of The Tina Brooks Quintets. The album was originally intended as BLP 4052, but, for some reason, it was shelved at the time. A Blue Note CD appeared in 1998, then reissued in 2006. Both editions are now out-of-print. A song recorded during the session, "David the King", was rejected since it "never made it to releasable quality". The composition was later re-recorded for Brooks' final Blue Note session, released as The Waiting Game.
'Round About Midnight at the Cafe Bohemia is a live album by American jazz trumpeter Kenny Dorham. The album was recorded in 1956 at the Café Bohemia and released in 1957 on the Blue Note label. The original release featured 6 tracks; another 11 tracks, including some alternate takes was released in 1984 on the Japanese Blue Note label, as BNJ 61003/61004. A complete edition was released as a double-CD set in 2002.
