From Out Here is a 2014 album by Cate Brooks, under the pseudonym of The Advisory Circle. It was released on 5 December 2014 by independent record label Ghost Box Music on CD, online download, and 12" vinyl record. [1] [2] [3] The album cover art was designed by Julian House. [4] [2] [5]
Ghost Box Music 's press release for From Out Here "hints at a Wyndham-esque science fiction story, where bucolic English scenery is being manipulated and maybe even artificially generated by bizarre multi-dimensional computer technology." [2]
Chicago Reader said From Out Here "exceeds all of my expectations—it's among the best work Brooks has ever done, and one of the finest albums of the year." [6] DJ Food called the album "[Cate Brooks'] best yet" and "my favourite though as it embodies everything I love about the [ Ghost Box Music ] label" [7] Pitchfork reviewed From Out Here with "[f]or a notionally darker work this album ends up being more enjoyable than some of [Cate Brooks'] prior records, mainly because the sense of exploration is heightened with each turn taken." [8]
The Quietus called From Out Here a "particularly satisfying and coherent listening experience" and "beautifully crafted voyage into electronic music's substrata." [9] Record Collector reviewed From Out Here with "Brooks, though, stands out by dint of a nimble melodic touch, compositional sophistication and a broader historical frame of references. This makes From Out Here both satisfying and hard to pin down." [10]

Coda is the first compilation album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin. The album is a collection of unused tracks from various sessions during Led Zeppelin's twelve-year career. It was released on 19 November 1982, almost two years after the group had officially disbanded following the death of drummer John Bonham. The word coda, meaning a passage that ends a musical piece following the main body, was therefore chosen as the title.
Elizabeth Davidson Fraser, is a Scottish singer, songwriter and musician. Hailing from Grangemouth, Scotland, she is best known as the vocalist for the pioneering dream pop band Cocteau Twins who achieved international success primarily during the fifteen years from the mid–1980s to late 1990s. Mark Edward Kozelek is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and occasional actor. He is known as the vocalist and primary recording artist of the indie folk act Sun Kil Moon and founding member of the indie rock band Red House Painters, with whom he recorded six studio albums from 1989 until 2001.

Marissa Nadler is an American musician and fine artist. Hex Enduction Hour is the fourth studio album by the English post-punk group the Fall. Released on 8 March 1982, it builds on the low-fidelity production values and caustic lyrical content of their earlier recordings, and features a two-drummer lineup. Frontman Mark E. Smith establishes an abrasive Northern aesthetic built in part from the 20th century literary traditions of kitchen sink realism and magic realism. Smith described the album as an often-satirical but deliberate reaction to the contemporary music scene, a stand against "bland bastards like Elvis Costello and Spandau Ballet ... [and] all that shit."
The Caretaker was a long-running project by English ambient musician Leyland James Kirby. His work as the Caretaker is characterized as exploring memory and its gradual deterioration, nostalgia, and melancholia. The project was inspired by the haunted ballroom scene in the 1980 film The Shining. His first several releases comprised treated and manipulated samples of 1930s ballroom pop recordings.

Ghost Box is an independent, UK-based electronic music record label, launched in 2004 by graphic designer Julian House and producer Jim Jupp. Its roster includes artists such as Jupp's Belbury Poly, House's The Focus Group, and the Advisory Circle, as well as releases by Broadcast and John Foxx among others.
Belbury Poly is the studio band of Ghost Box Records co-founder Jim Jupp. Jupp is the main composer and producer and also plays synth, keyboards and guitar. Other members are session musicians, that have included: Christopher Budd on bass and lead guitar, Jim Musgrave on drums, James Allen on drums, David Sharp on acoustic guitar and Cate Brooks on piano.
The Advisory Circle is an alias of English electronic musician Cate Brooks along with King of Woolworths. Her releases as The Advisory Circle are on the Ghost Box Music label.
Mind How You Go is a mini-album by Cate Brooks, under the pseudonym of The Advisory Circle. The album was released on 17 October 2005 on the Ghost Box Music label. It was re-released in 2009 with two extra tracks and renamed Mind How You Go Now.
Cate Le Bon is a Welsh musician and record producer. She sings in both English and Welsh. She has released six solo studio albums, three EPs and a number of singles. Le Bon has toured with artists such as St. Vincent, Perfume Genius and John Grant.
Other Channels is the debut album by Cate Brooks, under the pseudonym of The Advisory Circle. It was preceded by the mini-album Mind How You Go. The album was released on 10 March 2008 on the Ghost Box label.
Jim Jupp is a producer, composer, and along with the graphic designer Julian House he co-owns the Ghost Box record label and manager of Belbury Music Publishing. He records as Belbury Poly. Jupp also runs his own music publishing business and small run record label, Belbury Music
As The Crow Flies is the third album by Cate Brooks, under the pseudonym of The Advisory Circle. It was preceded by the album Other Channels. The album was released on 8 July 2011 on the Ghost Box Music label. The CD sleeve notes and bonus digital booklet contains an introduction by professor Ronald Hutton, as well as a paragraph quoted from his book, The Stations of the Sun.
