"From the Pinnacle to the Pit" is a song by the Swedish rock band Ghost. The track was released as the second single from the group's third studio album Meliora .
A Nameless Ghoul called "From the Pinnacle to the Pit" a "truly stomping riff-based song, Led Zeppelin-style" and "something that would sound great coming out of a car stereo in an American high school parking lot." [1] The song was released on July 17, 2015.
The song's music video was directed by Zev Deans, [2] and was filmed in a style reminiscent of 1920s silent movies. Clips from the 1949 educational film Act Your Age and the 1930 Cecille B DeMille movie Madame Satan were also used, including a scene where actress Kay Johnson and actor Reginald Denny danced. In the video, a student is sent to the headmaster’s office only to be shown how man can harness the power of a god. The student is turned into an all-powerful man who despises what he’s become. This evolves into the creation of Ghost vocalist Papa Emeritus III.

Ghost is a Swedish rock band that was formed in Linköping in 2006. In 2010, they released a three-track demo followed by a 7-inch vinyl titled "Elizabeth", and later their debut full-length album Opus Eponymous. The song "Ritual" was chosen by Kerrang! as one of "The 50 Most Evil Songs Ever." The Grammis-nominated album was widely praised and significantly increased their popularity. The band released their third studio album, Meliora, in 2015, reaching number one in Sweden, and number eight in the US. The band released their fifth studio album, Impera, in 2022.
Opus Eponymous is the debut studio album by the Swedish rock band Ghost. It was released on 18 October 2010, on the independent record label Rise Above. It was released in North America on 18 January 2011, and in Japan on 6 April 2011. The album was recorded in the band's hometown and produced by Gene Walker. Opus Eponymous was nominated for a Grammis Award. The Japanese release contains an additional bonus track: a cover of the Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun".

The release of Impera was preceded by three singles: the first, "Hunter's Moon", was released on 30 September 2021 in support of the 2021 slasher film Halloween Kills with a version being a part of the film's closing credits; the second single, "Call Me Little Sunshine", was released on 20 January 2022 and the third, "Twenties", was released on 2 March 2022.
The Imperatour is a concert tour by the Swedish rock band Ghost in support of their fifth studio album, Impera. Following its announcement on 20 September 2021, the tour began on 25 January 2022 at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada, and is currently ongoing.
