Fury is an American hardcore punk band from Southern California.

History

Fury first released their six-song demo through Mosher's Delight Records in March 2014. This was quickly followed up by the release of their debut EP, Kingdom Come, later in 2014 on Triple-B Records. [1]

As 2015 closes, Fury released a promo for their upcoming 2016 full-length. [2] In 2016, Fury released their debut full-length record titled Paramount on Triple-B Records. [3] With the positive feedback from the band's previous releases which combines elements of youth crew and other several hardcore subgenres, Fury released a promo for their 2019 LP. [4]

On May 3, 2019, Fury, signed to Run for Cover Records, released their second full-length album titled Failed Entertainment. [5] [6] [7] [8]

Their last full-length, Songs to Scream at the Sun, garnered much critical acclaim from hardcore critics and fans alike, winning 'album of the year' from many hardcore-oriented websites.

Ceremony is an American punk rock band from Rohnert Park, California. The band's current line-up features Ross Farrar (vocals), Anthony Anzaldo (guitar), Justin Davis (bass), Andy Nelson (guitar), and Jake Casarotti (drums). Ryan Mattos (guitar) left before the group's Matador Records signing in 2011, being replaced by Nelson. The band have released six studio albums to date, and have changed their sound considerably across their discography – ranging from elements of powerviolence, grindcore, hardcore punk, punk rock, garage rock, post-punk, indie rock and new wave. Title Fight is an American rock band from Kingston, Pennsylvania, formed in 2003. They released three studio albums – Shed (2011), Floral Green (2012) and Hyperview (2015) – gradually shifting from a hardcore punk-oriented sound towards shoegaze and indie rock. Hyperview was released through Anti-, a record label to which the band signed in July 2014.

Trapped Under Ice is an American hardcore punk band from Baltimore, Maryland that was formed in 2007. Since then they have released an EP and three full-length albums. Taking influence from New York hardcore, the band has toured all over the world and was signed to Reaper Records. On August 11, 2013, Trapped Under Ice played its last show at Philadelphia's The Electric Factory at This Is Hardcore Festival 2013. The band announced their reunion in early 2015. In 2017 they released their third LP, Heatwave, on Pop Wig Records.

The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die is an American indie rock band formed in Willimantic, Connecticut, in 2009. Following the release of several EPs and splits featuring original lead singer Thomas Diaz, they released their debut LP Whenever, If Ever in 2013 to generally positive reviews. Undergoing a series of roster changes, they proceeded to release a 2014 collaboration with spoken word artist Christopher Zizzamia titled Between Bodies, as well as several full-length records, including Harmlessness in 2015, Always Foreign in 2017, and 2021's Illusory Walls.

Don Fury is an American recording engineer and producer who owned three rehearsal and recording studios in New York City. He has recorded and produced music for a variety of punk and hardcore bands including GG Allin, Agnostic Front, Sick of It All, Youth of Today, Gorilla Biscuits, Madball, Warzone, Helmet, Into Another, and Quicksand. In 2008 Fury moved his studio to Troy, New York.

Citizen is an American rock band from Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio that formed in 2009. The band currently consists of Mat Kerekes (vocals), brothers Nick and Eric Hamm (bass), Mason Mercer, and Ben Russin (drums). Fiddlehead is an American post-hardcore supergroup, formed in Boston, Massachusetts. The band's current line-up consists of Patrick Flynn (vocals) and Shawn Costa (drums) of Have Heart, Alex Henery (guitar) of Basement, Alex Dow (guitar) of Big Contest and Nick Hinsch (bass) of Stand Off and Nuclear Age.

Vein.fm is an American hardcore punk band from Boston that formed in 2013. They are known for their frequent tours and have performed shows with groups such as Code Orange and Twitching Tongues while in Europe. In 2017 the band was signed onto Closed Casket Activities, who would issue their first full-length work Errorzone to positive reception among critics, even appearing on Revolver's early "Best Albums of 2018" list. The album also managed to peak at number 21 on Billboard's Hard Rock album chart. In July 2020, after the release of their remix album, the band announced it changed its name to Vein.fm.

The band was one of Stereogum's "Bands To Watch" The band's debut album, This Place You know, was released in 2021 to positive reviews. BrooklynVegan calls them "one of the most exciting new bands in hardcore".

Anxious is an American emo band from Fairfield, Connecticut. The band is currently signed to Run for Cover Records. The band released their debut album in 2022 titled Little Green House. The album was named Stereogum's "Album of the Week". The album received positive reviews.

Holy Fawn is an American rock band from Phoenix, Arizona. The band currently consists of guitarist and vocalist Ryan Osterman, guitarist Evan Phelps, and drummer Austin Reinholz, with bassist Alexander Rieth also being part of their lineup until 2023. They have released two full-length studio albums and two extended plays.

Gel is an American hardcore punk band from New Jersey. Formed in 2018 as a side project of powerviolence band Sick Shit, Gel have released one full length album, two EPs, one demo and one split mini album. An article by NME credited them for "shaping the sound of hardcore in 2023".

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Sunami (band)</span> American hardcore punk band

Sunami is an American hardcore punk band formed in San Jose, California in 2019. Originally intended as a short-lived joke band by members of various San Francisco Bay Area hardcore bands, Sunami sought to parody the ignorant style of many hardcore bands on their 2019 demo Demonstration. However, after gaining notoriety for their violent debut live performance, the band continued past their planned time frame. They have since released three EPs, with their debut self-titled album being released on June 14, 2023. A 2023 article by Revolver credited them as "in the upper echelon of bands dominating the hardcore zeitgeist".

Gulch was an American hardcore punk band formed in Santa Cruz, California in 2016. The band released only one studio album Impenetrable Cerebral Fortress (2020), as well as two EPs and one demo tape. They performed their final live performance on July 31, 2022, at the peak of their popularity. The New York Times credited them as one of the driving forces of American hardcore's "Rennaissance" in the 2020s.

Drain is an American hardcore punk band formed in Santa Cruz, California in 2014. Beginning without any set musical style, the 2015 hiring of Sammy Ciaramitaro (vocals) and Cody Chavez led the band to embracing the influence of hardcore and thrash metal. They have released two demos, three EPs and two full length albums. The New York Times credited them as one of the driving forces of American hardcore's "Rennaissance" in the 2020s.
