The Future Technologies Conference is an annual predatory academic conference organized by The Science and Information (SAI) Organization. The conference program includes keynote lectures, paper presentations, posters and project demonstrations. The conference has several tracks including Intelligent Systems, Machine Vision, Communications and Industrial Electronics. The conference attracts participants by sending unwanted email to academics. In 2017, Future Technologies Conference will be held in Vancouver, Canada from 29–30 November and is technically co-sponsored by IEEE.

2016 edition [1] was held in San Francisco and gathered 300 participants from over 50 nations. [2] Keynote Speakers were Laura M. Haas - an IBM Fellow and Director of IBM Research's Accelerated Discovery Lab, [3] James Loudermilk - Senior Level Technologist at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Science and Technology Branch, Ruzena Bajcsy - Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, Ella Atkins - Professor of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan, Bin He - Director of Institute for Engineering in Medicine, University of Minnesota. IIT Madras Public engineering institution in India

Indian Institute of Technology Madras is a public technical and research university located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. As one of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), it is recognised as an Institute of National Importance. Robert S. H. Istepanian is a visiting professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Institute of Global Health Innovation, Imperial College, London. Istepanian is widely recognized as the first scientist to coin the phrase m-Health. In 2012, Istepanian coined the new term 4G Health which is defined as "The evolution of m-health towards targeted personalized medical systems with adaptable functionalities and compatibility with the future 4G networks."

David Michael Gann CBE is a British academic administrator and civil engineer.

Chandrasekaran Mohan is an Indian-born American computer scientist. He was born on 3 August 1955 in Tamil Nadu, India. After growing up there and finishing his undergraduate studies in Chennai, he moved to the United States in 1977 for graduate studies. After having been an Indian citizen from birth, since 2007 he has been an American citizen and an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). In June 2020, he retired from being an IBM Fellow at the IBM Almaden Research Center after working at IBM Research for 38.5 years. Currently, he is a Distinguished Visiting Professor at China's Tsinghua University. He is also an Honorary Advisor at the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency (TNeGA) in Chennai and an Advisor at the Kerala Blockchain Academy in Kerala.

Cherry A. Murray American professor

Cherry A. Murray, Ph.D., is a Professor of Physics and the Director of the Biosphere2 Institute at the University of Arizona at Tucson. She is the Benjamin Peirce Professor of Technology and Public Policy emerita at, and former dean of, the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS). In October 2014, she announced via an email to the Harvard community that she would be stepping down from her post at the end of the year, with an interim dean to be named by FAS Dean Michael Smith and a permanent dean following a formal search. She was the 2009 President of the American Physical Society (APS) and Chair of the Division of Engineering and Physical Science of the National Research Council.

The International Society of Military Sciences (ISMS) is an international organization whose stated aim is to build a strong network for the creation, development, exchange and diffusion of research and knowledge about war, conflict management and peace support efforts. The ISMS was founded in October 2008. Abhaya Induruwa

Abhaya Induruwa Sinhala: අභය ඉඳුරුව is the inaugural Professor V K Samaranayake Endowed Professor of Computing, University of Colombo School of Computing, Sri Lanka. Having served as the Director of Cyber Innovation Hub he recently retired from the Canterbury Christ Church University in the United Kingdom where he researched into security and forensic investigation of Internet of Things (IoT). Professor Induruwa is considered the father of Internet in Sri Lanka.

The Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology (GCECT), formerly known as College of Ceramic Technology (CCT), is a premier academically autonomous government institute, affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology in Kolkata, India. The college offers B. Tech in Ceramic Technology, Information Technology and Computer Science and Engineering and M. Tech in the first two. The college has recently stepped into its 75th year of existence. Valipe Ramgopal Rao is the director of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He was a P.K.Kelkar Chair Professor in Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and is now also the director at IIT Delhi. Ramgopal Rao has more than 475 publications in various journals, and 47 patents in the areas of Electron devices and Nanoelectronics. Ramgopal Rao was the first elected chairman for the Indian Section of the American Nano Society. He is also the recipient of multiple prizes including the Swarnajayanti Fellowship Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, Infosys Prize, Techno-Visionary award from the Indian Semiconductor Association in 2020, the IBM faculty award in 2007 and the IEEE EDS Education award in 2020 besides many others. He is a Fellow of IEEE, Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc), National Academy of Sciences (NASI) and the Indian National Science Academy (INSA).

IEEE Rebooting Computing Initiative to rethink the concept of computing

IEEE Rebooting Computing is a global initiative launched by IEEE that proposes to rethink the concept of computing through a holistic look at all aspects of computing, from the device itself to the user interface. As part of its work, IEEE Rebooting Computing provides access to various resources like conferences and educational events, feature and scholarly articles, reports, and videos.

Kasturi Lal Chopra

Kasturi Lal Chopra is an Indian material physicist and a former director of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is the founder of the Thin Film Laboratory at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and the Microscience Laboratory at IIT, Kharagpur and holds several US and Indian patents for his research findings. Author of a number of books on thin film technology, Chopra is a recipient of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize, the highest Indian award in the science and technology categories. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2008, for his contributions to science and engineering.

Predatory conferences or predatory meetings are meetings set up to appear as legitimate scientific conferences but which are exploitative as they do not provide proper editorial control over presentations, and advertising can include claims of involvement of prominent academics who are, in fact, uninvolved. They are an expansion of the predatory publishing business model, which involves the creation of academic publications built around an exploitative business model that generally involves charging publication fees to authors without providing the editorial and publishing services associated with legitimate journals.

Gustavo A. Stolovitzky is an Argentine-American computational systems biologist. He is an IBM Fellow and the Director of the Translational Systems Biology and Nano-Biotechnology Program at IBM Research. He serves as the program director of the Thomas J. Watson Research Center's Translational Systems Biology and Nanobiotechnology Program, as well as an Adjunct professor of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University.
