Gaber Ahmed Farhan Mohamed (born September 1, 1985), known as Gaber Mohamed, is an Egyptian male weightlifter, competing in the 105 kg category and representing Egypt at international competitions. He participated in the men's 105 kg event at the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships, and at the 2016 Summer Olympics, finishing in twelfth position. Ilya Aleksandrovich Ilyin is a retired Kazakhstani weightlifter who won four world championships. On 12 December, 2015 at the President's Cup in Grozny, Russia, Ilyin set two world records in the −105 kg class. He lifted 246 kg in the clean and jerk and 437 kg in the total. Egypt competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012, sending one of its largest delegations ever. A total of 110 Egyptian athletes participated in 83 events across 20 sports, with more women taking part than ever before. The nation's flagbearer in the opening ceremonies was Hesham Mesbah, a judoka who was Egypt's only medalist at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Egypt won two medals during the course of the Games: Alaaeldin Abouelkassem earned silver in the men's foil, becoming the first competitor from an African nation to win a fencing medal, while Karam Gaber captured silver in the men's 84 kg Greco-Roman wrestling event. Two Egyptian weightlifters were awarded medals retroactively, after higher-ranked competitors were disqualified for doping: Abeer Abdelrahman took silver in the women's 75 kg event, while Tarek Yehia, received bronze in the men's 85 kg event. Among other achievements, Mostafa Mansour was the nation's first competitor in sprint canoeing while fencer Shaimaa El-Gammal became the first Egyptian female to appear in four editions of the Olympics.

Mohamed Ehab Youssef Ahmed Mahmoud, known as Mohamed Mahmoud or Mohamed Ehab, is an Egyptian weightlifter, and World Champion competing in the 77 kg category until 2018 and 81 kg starting in 2018 after the International Weightlifting Federation reorganized the categories.

Sara Samir Elsayed Mohamed Ahmed is an Egyptian weightlifter who won a bronze medal in the women's 69 kg event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the silver medal in the women's 81kg event at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Fernando Fabricio Salas Manguis is an Ecuadorian male weightlifter, competing in the +105 kg category and representing Ecuador at international competitions. He participated in the men's +105 kg event at the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships, and at the 2016 Summer Olympics, finishing in fourteenth position. Ahmed Mohamed Abdelaziz Mohamed, also known as Ahmed Mohamed, is an Egyptian male weightlifter, competing in the +105 kg category and representing Egypt at international competitions. Mohamed participated in the men's +105 kg event at the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships, and at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where he failed to register a single lift in all three attempts of the clean and jerk phase.

Mohamed Ihsan Attia Massoud is an Egyptian male weightlifter, competing in the +105 kg category and representing Egypt at international competitions. He competed at world championships, including at the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships. He participated at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the +105 kg event. He won the gold medal at the 2011 Summer Universiade, but was disqualified for using the forbidden substance methylhexanamine.
