Gabriel Changson Chang

Dr.Gabriel Changson Chang is a South Sudanese politician who worked in the Ministry of Wildlife Conservation and Tourism and was the acting Minister of Finance in the Cabinet of South Sudan and the Cabinet of Sudan from March 2007 to July 2007. [1] He was appointed to that position in July 2011 and 2009 respectively. The Hon.Dr. Gabriel is also the chairman of the FDP South Sudan Federal Democratic Party and interim chairperson of SSOA South Sudan Opposition Alliance. On July 15, 2020, Dr.Changson was appointed the Minister of Higher Education.[ citation needed ] Dr.Changson has served in seven different ministries.[ citation needed ] In March 2023, Dr. Changson led the Federal Democratic Party with a call for free political space, peace and encouraging citizens to produce their own food and avoid reliance of food relief from Uganda, Kenya, Sudan and Ethiopia. SPLM branches in Sudan separated themselves from SPLM, forming the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North. Further factionalism appeared as a result of the 2013-2014 South Sudanese Civil War, with President Salva Kiir leading the SPLM-Juba and former Vice President Riek Machar leading the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-in-Opposition.

Dr.Lam Akol Ajawin, is a South Sudanese politician of Shilluk descent. He is the current leader of National Democratic Movement (NDM) party. He is a former high-ranking official in the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA), and subsequently became the Foreign Minister of Sudan from September 2005 to October 2007, when the Khartoum government offered the SPLA several other key ministries as part of a peace agreement.

In 2013 he joined the armed opposition under Riek Machar. In 2018 he broke away and announced himself as the leader of the Eastern Front Army that defends the interests of Eastern Equatoria.

Hon. Jemma Nunu Kumba is a South Sudanese politician. She is the current Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare of South Sudan. She founded the Sudan women Parliamentary Caucus in 2004 at the start of the comprehensive peace agreement. She was chosen by the SPLM as the speaker of the Revitalised Transitional National Legislative Assembly (R-TNLA). She became the first woman to preside over the parliament of South Sudan.

Obuch OjwokAkuo is a politician from South Sudan. He was the speaker of the South Sudan National Legislative Assembly from 2019 to 2021. He is a member of the SPLM who represents Eastern Equatoria. Ojwok is a Pari, an ethnic group in Lafon County, Imatong State. He became speaker on December 16, 2019 after the resignation of Anthony Lino Makana, who was accused of corruption. Ojwok, after becoming speaker, said he wanted to restore the reputation of parliament. Ojwok was the first deputy minister of Wildlife Conservation and Tourism when the post was created on August 26, 2011 after the independence of South Sudan on July 9, 2011.
