The Ministry of Wildlife Conservation and Tourism is a ministry of the Government of South Sudan. The incumbent minister is Rizig Zackaria Hassen, no deputy minister was name. [1]

The Mbarizunga Game Reserve is found in South Sudan. It was established in 1939. This site covers 10 square kilometres (3.9 sq mi).

The Bangangai Game Reserve is found in South Sudan, on the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, west of the town of Yambio. Established in 1939, it is both a game reserve and an Important Bird Area. This site covers 170 square kilometres (17,000 ha). Reserve is named after prominent 679 m height Bangani hill Chimpanzees are thought to habitate the game reserve; however, there is no recent information on their population.

Dr.Gabriel Changson Chang is a South Sudanese politician who worked in the Ministry of Wildlife Conservation and Tourism and was the acting Minister of Finance in the Cabinet of South Sudan and the Cabinet of Sudan from March 2007 to July 2007. He was appointed to that position in July 2011 and 2009 respectively. The Hon.Dr. Gabriel is also the chairman of the FDP South Sudan Federal Democratic Party and interim chairperson of SSOA South Sudan Opposition Alliance. On July 15, 2020, Dr.Changson was appointed the Minister of Higher Education. Dr.Changson has served in seven different ministries. In March 2023, Dr. Changson led the Federal Democratic Party with a call for free political space, peace and encouraging citizens to produce their own food and avoid reliance of food relief from Uganda, Kenya, Sudan and Ethiopia.

Abdallah Albert is a South Sudanese politician. He was Minister for Wildlife Conservation and Tourism in the Cabinet of South Sudan. He was appointed to that position on 10 July 2011. In 2013 he joined the armed opposition under Riek Machar. In 2018 he broke away and announced himself as the leader of the Eastern Front Army that defends the interests of Eastern Equatoria.

Hon. Jemma Nunu Kumba is a South Sudanese politician. She is the current Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare of South Sudan. She founded the Sudan women Parliamentary Caucus in 2004 at the start of the comprehensive peace agreement. She was chosen by the SPLM as the speaker of the Revitalised Transitional National Legislative Assembly (R-TNLA). She became the first woman to preside over the parliament of South Sudan.

George Echom Ekeno is a politician who was deputy governor of Eastern Equatoria state in South Sudan, and was later appointed state minister for Environment, Wildlife Conservation & Tourism.

The wildlife of South Sudan refers to the natural flora and fauna of South Sudan. South Sudan includes the Sudd, one of the world's largest wetlands. According to the American biologist and conservationist, J. Michael Fay, South Sudan "could present the biggest migration of large mammals on earth", while Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) reports southeast Sudan has a migration of 1.3 million antelopes. The region has a low density human population, with approximately 7 million people spread over approximately 619,745 km2 (239,285 sq mi).

Bwabwata National Park is a protected area in northeastern Namibia that was established in 2007 and covers 6,274 km2 (2,422 sq mi).
