Carlos Gael Acosta Zavala (born 26 March 1992) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Greek Super League 2 club Kalamata.
Acosta was discovered by C.F. Monterrey while playing in a national U16 tournament in 2008. He played for their developmental team, Rayados de Monterrey, and made his first team debut on 4 May 2013, coming on as a 72' substitute for Omar Arellano in a 5–1 loss against Cruz Azul. [2] He scored his first professional goal on August 21, 2013, during a Copa MX match against Altamira with a 68' left-footed strike. [3]
He was loaned out to Atlante in December 2013, along with Luis Madrigal, and spent six months with the Cancún team before returning in June. [4] [5]

Club de Fútbol Monterrey, often known simply as Monterrey or their nickname Rayados, is a Mexican professional football club based in the Monterrey metropolitan area, Nuevo León, Mexico. Walter Orlando Ayoví Corozo is an Ecuadorian professional footballer who plays for the Monterrey Flash in the Major Arena Soccer League. He previously played as a left winger for Club Deportivo El Nacional in the Ecuadorian league and in the Ecuador national team, primarily in left defense. Humberto Andrés Suazo Pontivo, nicknamed Chupete, is a Chilean professional footballer who plays as a striker for San Luis de Quillota. In 2006, he was awarded the IFFHS World's Top Goal Scorer. The 2012–13 Monterrey season was the 66th professional season of Mexico's top-flight football league. The season is split into two tournaments—the Torneo Apertura and the Torneo Clausura—each with identical formats and each contested by the same eighteen teams. Monterrey began their season on July 21, 2012 against América, Monterrey play their homes games on Saturdays at 7:00pm local time. Monterrey reached the quarter-finals of the Final phase in the Apertura tournament and reached the semi-finals in the Clausura tournament. Monterrey won their third straight CONCACAF Champions League after defeating Santos Laguna 4–2 on aggregate and qualified to the 2013 FIFA Club World Cup. Monterrey ended up in third place at the 2012 FIFA Club World Cup after defeating Al Ahly of Egypt in the third place match.

The team was dissolved on May 23, 2023 due to a restructuring of the Liga de Expansión MX scheduled for 2024.
