The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad and commonly known as Antwerp 1920, were an international multi-sport event held in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.

Another athlete, Lenira Santos, was selected to compete in athletics but was forced to pull out due to injury. Monteiro was selected as the flag bearer for both the opening and closing ceremonies. Neither of the Cape Verdeans progressed beyond the first round.
Mohammad Bashir was a wrestler from Pakistan, who won the bronze medal in freestyle wrestling in the welterweight class (73 kg) at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. Bashir is the only Pakistani wrestler to become an Olympic medalist.
Chad competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, which was held from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This marked the nation's eleventh appearance at the Summer Olympics since its debut in the 1964 Summer Olympics. The Chadian delegation included track and field athlete Hinikissia Ndikert and judoka Carine Ngarlemdana. Ngarlemdana was the flag bearer for the opening ceremony and Ndikert was the flag bearer for the closing ceremony. Neither of Chad's athletes progressed beyond the first round of their events. Chad was one of only two countries to have a female-only team at the 2012 games.
Paolo Curcetti was an Italian boxer. As an amateur he won the Italian flyweight title in 1957, 1959 and 1960 and competed in the 1960 Summer Olympics, where he was eliminated in the third bout. Between 1961 and 1964 he fought professionally in the bantamweight division, and had a record of 12 wins, 3 losses and one draw. His younger brother Gaetano was also an Olympic boxer.
The Refugee Olympic Team competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016, as independent Olympic participants.
Toni James Dunlop is a New Zealand rower and has represented New Zealand three times at the Olympics.
Gaetano Carboni is an Italian former swimmer. He competed in the men's 200 metre butterfly at the 1972 Summer Olympics.

Gaetano Pirastu is an Italian boxer. He competed in the men's lightweight event at the 1976 Summer Olympics. He lost in the opening round to Roberto Andino of Puerto Rico.
Gaetano De Vescovi was an Italian wrestler. He competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics and the 1964 Summer Olympics.
Phil DeGaetano is an Italian ice hockey player. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1994 Winter Olympics.
