Hon. Justice Gail Ann Archer SC is a judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. [2]

Archer's father died when she was 17. [3] She graduated in jurisprudence and law from the University of Western Australia in 1988, [1] and commenced her legal career at the West Australian Crown Solicitor's Office in 1989, before joining the West Australian Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in 1993, remaining there until 2002. [4] During her time at the DPP she conducted over 150 jury trials and represented the state in numerous matters in the Court of Appeal. [1] After her work at the DPP, she joined Legal Aid WA from 2002 to 2004 as principal counsel, before practicing as a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers. She was appointed senior counsel at chambers in 2007. [5] She joined the Independent Bar in 2004, [6] and sat as a Commissioner in the District Court for periods in 2005 and 2006. [4]

After completing a legislative review of the CCC Act, Archer was appointed as Acting Commissioner of the West Australian Corruption and Crime Commission in April 2008, [7] and resigned in February 2011. [8] During this time she taught forensic advocacy nationally and internationally, and was a coach in the Australian Bar Association's advanced advocacy course. [9] Archer was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia on 29 May 2017 after the resignation of the Hon. Justice David Newnes from 21 April 2017. [2]

The Honourable Christopher David Steytler AO QC is a former judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia and President of the Court of Appeal. He was a member of the Supreme Court from 1994 to 2009 and was the Parliamentary Inspector of the Corruption and Crime Commission from 2009 to 2012.

Peter David McClellan is a retired judge of the New South Wales Court of Appeal who served between February 2013 and February 2018. McClellan was the Chief Royal Commissioner of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse from January 2013 to December 2017. He was previously the Chief Judge in Common Law in the Supreme Court, a position to which he was appointed in 2005.

Major General Paul Le Gay Brereton, is a Judge of the New South Wales Court of Appeal and a senior officer in the Australian Army Reserve. Bruce Thomas Lander was the first Independent Commissioner Against Corruption in South Australia. He was replaced by Ann Vanstone on 2 September 2020. He was formerly a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia.

The Honourable Justice Stephen Hall is an Australian jurist who is a judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. He was appointed to the general (trial) division of the court in 2009. In 2022 he was appointed as a permanent judge of the appeal division of the Court.

Ann Vanstone is an Australian lawyer. She was a crown prosecutor before being appointed as a judge of the District Court of South Australia from 1999 until 2003. She was then appointed to the Supreme Court of South Australia. Vanstone stepped down from the Supreme Court bench in June 2019.

John Leonard Clifton Wickham was a judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia.

Soraya Ryan is an Australian judge. She has been a Judge of the Supreme Court of Queensland since 9 March 2018.

Robert James Bromwich is a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia, serving since 29 February 2016. Sarah McNaughton is an Australian judge and former barrister who has served as a judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales since 10 October 2022. Prior to her appointment to the judiciary, she served as the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions from 16 May 2016 to 2 September 2022.
