Gallus are a Scottish villainous professional wrestling stable consisting of Wolfgang and real-life brothers Joe Coffey and Mark Coffey. They are currently signed to WWE and perform on the NXT brand.
On the 5 December show of NXT UK, the trio of the Coffey brothers and Wolfgang was officially dubbed Gallus (Scottish slang for daring or confident) in a segment calling out British Strong Style, as well as Travis Banks.[ citation needed ]
Gallus debuted in the 12 December 2018 show of NXT UK, with members Mark Coffey and Wolfgang defeating Ashton Smith & Ligero in a tag match.
On the 4 October 2019 episode of NXT UK, Mark and Wolfgang beat previous champions Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster for the NXT UK Tag Team Championship, going on to hold it for 497 days. [1]
After going on a hiatus for a short time, during which Joe Coffey was suspended by WWE due to sexual harassment allegations. [2]
After Gallus returned, Mark Coffey won the NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship on the 23 June 2022 show of NXT UK; but Wolfgang lost to Ilja Dragunov for the NXT UK Championship on 23 July 2022.
At NXT Heatwave, Gallus debuted on NXT attacking Diamond Mine. [3] On 23 August 2022, Gallus debuted in a tag team match on NXT facing NXT UK Tag Team Champions Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs, which they would go on to win via countout. At Worlds Collide, Gallus became the second team eliminated from the Fatal 4-way tag team elimination match for the NXT and NXT UK Tag Team Championship. Gallus will go on to have a rivalry with Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen, with the latter winning a No Disqualification tag team match between the teams. Gallus then later was suspended in September for attacking officials.
At New Year’s Evil on 10 January 2023, Gallus returned from their suspension and won a gauntlet match to become the #1 contenders for the NXT Tag Team Championship, which they won on Vengeance Day the month after. On the 14 March show of NXT, Gallus retained their titles against Pretty Deadly. At NXT Stand & Deliver, Gallus defeated the Creed Brothers & The Family to retain the tag titles with help from a returning Joe Coffey. [4] Gallus would defend against the Creeds and The Dyad in the next months including a triple-threat on the 14 April show of NXT & against the Creeds at NXT Battleground. At NXT Gold Rush, Gallus defeated Malik Blade and Edris Enofe. At NXT: The Great American Bash, Gallus lost the NXT Tag Team Championship to Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, ending their reign at 176 days. [5] In April 2024, ESPN reported that Gallus help trained The Rock for his tag team match with Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth "Freakin" Rollins at Night 1 of WrestleMania XL. [6] On the May 14, 2024 show of NXT, and as the show was going off the air, the cameras went backstage, showing Wes Lee, Josh Briggs & Ivar assaulted backstage. The attackers were then revealed to be Gallus, making their first televised appearance on NXT since the February 13, 2024 show of NXT. [7] On Week 1 of Great American Bash, they attacked Joe Hendry during his concert. On Week 2, Joe Coffey faced Hendry in a losing effort. On a show of TNA, Wolfgang wrestled against Hendry, in yet again, a losing effort.
Diamond Mine is a professional wrestling stable in WWE consisting of members Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, and Ivy Nile. They currently perform on the Raw brand and are members of the American Made stable.
Joseph Coffey is a Scottish professional wrestler now signed to WWE, where he performs on the NXT brand as the leader of Gallus. Coffey wrestles for many promotions in the British independent wrestling circuit, including Insane Championship Wrestling where he is former 2 time ICW World Heavyweight Champion and a former ICW Zero-G Champion. Coffey has also earlier fought in Japan for Pro Wrestling ZERO1 where he became the first ever Scottish wrestler to perform in the Korakuen Hall. Coffey's younger brother Mark Coffey is also a professional wrestler and the pair often tag team together as "The Coffey Brothers".
Barry Young is a Scottish professional wrestler. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the NXT brand, under the ring name Wolfgang. He is a member of Gallus and is a former NXT Tag Team champion with stable mate Mark Coffey, as well as being a former tag team champion in now defunct NXT UK brand alongside Mark Coffey.

The NXT UK Tag Team Championship was a men's professional wrestling tag team championship that was created and promoted by the American promotion WWE. It was defended on the NXT UK brand division, a sister brand of WWE's developmental territory NXT based in the United Kingdom. Established on 18 June 2018, the inaugural championship team was James Drake and Zack Gibson. On 4 September 2022 at Worlds Collide, the title was unified into the NXT Tag Team Championship, officially retiring the title in the process, with the team of Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs recognized as the final champions.

The 2022 NXT Heatwave was a professional wrestling television special produced by the American promotion WWE. This was the first Heatwave event held by WWE, as it was previously produced by the former Extreme Championship Wrestling promotion, which WWE acquired in 2003, thus making this the eighth Heatwave overall and the first since 2000. The event was held for wrestlers from WWE's NXT brand division. It aired as a special episode of the NXT program on the USA Network and was broadcast live on August 16, 2022, from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

While the event was held primarily for wrestlers from the promotion's NXT and NXT UK brand divisions, Worlds Collide also featured some wrestlers from WWE's main roster brands, Raw and SmackDown. It took place on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and was the first Worlds Collide to livestream on Peacock. This was the first Worlds Collide event since 2020 and also the final event for NXT UK, which was meant to relaunch as NXT Europe in 2023. This was also NXT's last major event in which the brand was referred to as "NXT 2.0", as nine days later, the "2.0" moniker was dropped.

The event took place on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California as part of WrestleMania Weekend, being held the same day as WrestleMania 39 Night 1 with a special start time of 1 p.m. Eastern Time 10 a.m. Pacific Time. WWE wrestlers Pretty Deadly served as the hosts of the event. This was also the first Stand & Deliver to livestream on Binge in Australia.

It was the 11th Great American Bash under the WWE banner, the fourth annual held specifically for its developmental brand NXT, and the 25th Great American Bash event overall. It took place on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in the Austin suburb of Cedar Park, Texas. Unlike the previous three years, which aired as special episodes of NXT, the 2023 event aired via livestreaming, marking the first Great American Bash to air on both Peacock and the WWE Network, but it would be the only to air via livestreaming as the event returned to being a television special of NXT in 2024.
