Oliver Sauter (born 9 May 1995) is a Swiss professional wrestler signed to WWE, where he performs on the NXT brand under the ring name Oro Mensah as a member of The Meta-Four stable. He is also known for his time in NXT UK under the ring name Oliver Carter, where he became a one-time NXT UK Tag Team Champion alongside Ashton Smith.

Prior to joining WWE, Sauter competed in various European promotions, most notably Westside Xtreme Wrestling (WxW) and German Wrestling Federation (GWF) under the ring name Mr. Exotic Erotic.

Early life

Oliver Sauter was born in Lagos, Nigeria to a Swiss father and a Ghanaian mother. He grew up in Zürich, Switzerland.

Professional wrestling career

Independent circuit (2012–2019)

Sauter wrestled his first match on 12 May 2012 at Swiss Championship Wrestling under the ring name Mr. Exotic Erotic and lost to Belthazar. On 27 October, he teamed with Cash Crash to win the SCW Tag Team Championship, defeating Bad Snake & Magic Sly. [4] The reign lasted until 28 September 2013, when they lost the titles to Pancho & Sancho. He began competing for New European Championship Wrestling in early 2014, where he defeated former tag team partner Cash Crash on 1 February 2014. During the year, he still fought for Swiss Wrestling Entertainment and Classic Wrestling Entertainment. Over time he fought for various other independent promotions, including Westside Xtreme Wrestling (WxW), Rising Sun Wrestling, Frontier Championship Wrestling, German Hurricane Wrestling and German Wrestling Federation (GWF), winning various titles.

WWE

NXT UK (2019–2022)

On 19 April 2019, Sauter made his NXT UK debut as a face under the ring name Oliver Carter in a dark match, which he lost to Kassius Ohno. [5] He was utilized as a jobber until 16 November where he ended his losing streak. He teamed with Ashton Smith to defeat The Outliers (Dorian Mak and Riddick Moss). He returned to the brand on 17 January 2020, where he teamed with Smith to defeat Pretty Deadly (Lewis Howley and Sam Stoker). On 7 March, he participated in a battle royal to determine the next challenger for the NXT UK Championship, but failed to win the match.

On the 2 June 2022 episode of NXT UK , Carter and Smith won the NXT UK Tag Team Championship by defeating previous champions Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven and Tyler Bate) and Die Familie (Teoman and Rohan Raja) in a triple threat match. [6] [7] On the 23 June episode of NXT UK, Carter and Smith were set to defend their titles against NXT 2.0's Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen, but Smith suffered a knee injury and had to vacate them. NXT (2022–present)

On the 13 September 2022 episode of NXT , a video package was shown to reintroduce Carter under the ring name of Oro Mensah, with his debut announced for the following week's episode. [9] In his debut match, Mensah defeated Grayson Waller to qualify for the NXT North American Championship ladder match at NXT Halloween Havoc. [10] At the event on 22 October, Wes Lee won the match. [11] On the 4 November episode of NXT Level Up , Mensah defeated Xyon Quinn. [12] On the 28 March 2023 episode of NXT, Mensah competed in a 20-man battle royal to claim a spot in the fatal-five-way NXT North American Championship match at NXT Stand & Deliver, eliminating Quinn but was eliminated by Jinder Mahal. [13] On 25 April at Spring Breakin', Mensah lost against the debuting Oba Femi. [14]

On 28 May at NXT Battleground, Mensah turned heel and joined Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend in helping Noam Dar retain his NXT Heritage Cup against Dragon Lee to form The Meta-Four. [15] On the 13 June episode of NXT, Mensah competed in Dar's place due to injury, losing his NXT Heritage Cup to Nathan Frazer. [16] On March 26, it was announced that The Meta-Four will be the host of NXT Stand & Deliver. [17] On the May 28 episode of NXT, Mensah began a feud with a debuting Ethan Page, who revealed himself as Mensah and Dar's mysterious attacker, effectively turning him and the rest of The Meta-Four into faces. [18] At Week 2 of NXT: The Great American Bash on August 6, Mensah challenged Page for his NXT Championship but lost. [19] On the October 15 episode of NXT, Mensah faced Lexis King in a Gentleman's Duel, where he would lose. After the match, Mensah and King would shake hands, with King subsequently raising Mensah's hand as a show of respect. [20]

No Quarter Catch Crew (NQCC) is an American professional wrestling stable that performs in WWE on the NXT brand. The group currently consists of Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne, Tavion Heights, and Wren Sinclair. Dempsey is the current NXT Heritage Cup Champion in his second reign. The stable name is derived from the military term "No quarter" and Catch wrestling, a style of wrestling that each member specializes in. Their motto is "No pity, no mercy, no remorse, no quarter".

The 2024 NXT:The Great American Bash was a two-part professional wrestling television special produced by WWE. It was the 12th Great American Bash under the WWE banner, the fifth annual produced specifically for its developmental brand NXT, and the 26th Great American Bash event overall. The two-part event took place on July 30 and August 6, 2024, at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and aired as special episodes of NXT on Syfy, due to sister network USA's coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics.
