Subhash Bhowmick was an Indian football player and manager. During his playing career, he represented the "Big Two" of Kolkata football, East Bengal and Mohun Bagan. He also represented India in various international tournaments between 1970 and 1985.
The IFA Shield is an annual football competition organized by the Indian Football Association, the football governing body in the Indian state of West Bengal. Samar "Badru" Banerjee was an Indian footballer who played primarily as a striker for the India national football team. He captained India at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, where they achieved fourth place.
George Telegraph Sports Club is an Indian football based in Kolkata, West Bengal, that competes in the Calcutta Football League, the top tier state football league in West Bengal. The 2018 Calcutta Football League Premier Division was the 121st season of the CFL Premier Division, a state association football league within the Indian state of West Bengal. The league is divided into two groups – Division A and Division B. The Championship title is awarded only to the Division A winner, while four teams from Division A are relegated to Division B at the end of the season and four teams from Division B are simultaneously promoted to Division A for the next season. The fixtures of Division A and Division B started on 3 and 5 August 2018, respectively.

Parimal Dey was an Indian footballer who played as a forward. He played for the India national team, representing the country in the 1966 Asian Games in Bangkok and the 1966 Merdeka Tournament in Malaysia. In a domestic career spanning twelve years between 1962 and 1974, he represented the big two Calcutta football clubs, East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan FC, mostly with East Bengal and was considered one of the finest forwards of his time. Parimal Dey won the IFA Shield four times, the Durand Cup twice, and the Rovers Cup thrice while representing East Bengal.
The Mohun Bagan AC season awards are the official awards ceremony presented every year since 2001 by the Indian multi-sports club Mohun Bagan to commemorate Mohun Bagan Day which marks the day on which the club defeated East Yorkshire Regiment's football team to win their first IFA Shield in 1911, thereby becoming the first all-native team to ever win a football tournament dominated by British teams and clubs.
