Gavin Dodd is a former Ireland international rugby league footballer.
Dodd plays for Swinton in National League One. He also plays for Ireland.
Dodd's position of choice is as a wing or at fullback, but he can also operate as a centre.
Gavin Dodd is also a useful goal-kicker. [1]
Dodd has previously played for Oldham and Widnes, and was on the fringes of the first team at the Bradford Bulls.
Gavin Dodd had however been a revelation with Widnes, in 2007 scoring 21 tries in 21 games and also converting 28 attempts at goal. He holds the Widnes record for points in a game consisting of a hat-trick of tries and 13 goals vs Doncaster in 2007, his total was 38. [2]
As of the 2010 season Dodd played for Swinton.
Dodd is an Ireland international, playing in the recent games against Russia and Lebanon. [1]
He has been named in the Ireland training squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup. [3]
In 2005-06 he had a trial with rugby union team Glasgow Warriors. [4] He played in one game; a friendly against Newcastle Falcons academy side. [5]

Michael Robert Leighton Blair is a Scottish rugby union coach who was formerly a professional player. He is the head coach of Edinburgh. He played at scrum-half for Glasgow Warriors, Newcastle Falcons, CA Brive and Edinburgh Rugby. He represented the Scotland national side 85 times, as well as the touring with the British & Irish Lions in 2009. He retired from playing on 21 April 2016 aged 35. Peter Alexander Stringer is an Irish former rugby union player who played at scrum-half. He played 13 seasons with Irish province Munster from 1998 to 2011; he then played seven seasons from 2011 to 2018 in England with various teams — Saracens, Newcastle Falcons, Bath, Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors. Robert James Beswick is a former rugby league footballer who played as a hooker or loose forward. He started his professional career in 2004 with the Wigan Warriors in the Super League.
