Gavin Forsyth

Gavin Forsyth (born 4 July 1969 in Manchester) is a British former alpine skier who competed in the 1992 Winter Olympics. [1] He is the owner/operator of Clear Dental in British Columbia, Canada. [2]

The maximum number of athletes per nation had been set at 3 since the 1930 Olympic Congress. The event was won by Charles Austin of the United States, the nation's first victory in the men's high jump since 1968 and 13th overall. Artur Partyka of Poland became the seventh man to win two medals in the event, following his 1992 bronze with silver in these Games. Steve Smith's bronze was Great Britain's first medal in the men's high jump since 1908.

The maximum number of athletes per nation had been set at 3 since the 1930 Olympic Congress. The qualification mark was set at 2.29 metres. The event was won by Javier Sotomayor of Cuba, the nation's first victory in the men's high jump. Patrik Sjöberg of Sweden earned silver, becoming the first man to win a third medal in the event, though he never won gold. Sweden was only the third country to have three consecutive podium appearances. A three-way tie for third could not be resolved by countback, so bronze medals were awarded to Tim Forsyth, Artur Partyka, and Hollis Conway.

Forsyth wears the neon green suit while Sullivan, the shorter of the two, wears the darker suit. The two were inducted into the ESPN Hall of Fans in 2012. They have also appeared in a Pepsi billboard advertisement, wearing a Canucks jersey.
