History

Gayathri Films was one of the several production companies used by brothers Chitra Lakshmanan and Chithra Ramu as a part of their involvement in Tamil cinema. Notable films made as a part of the studio included Mann Vasanai (1983) and Soora Samhaaram (1988). Chithra Ramu died in 2017. [2]

Adavi Ramudu is a 1977 Indian Telugu-language action film produced by Satyanarayana and Suryanarayana under their banner of Satya Chitra. It was directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The film stars N. T. Chithra was an Indian actress best known for her work in Malayalam cinema. She had acted in more than 100 films. She acted along with Prem Nazir and Mohanlal in her first film Attakalasham in 1983. She was nicknamed "Nallennai Chithra" because of the fame she attained with the advertisement of an oil company she had acted in.

Lakshmanan Ramasamy, known professionally as Chitra Lakshmanan, is an Indian journalist, filmmaker and actor. He produced and directed several Tamil language films starring some of Tamil cinema's major stars during the 1980s and 1990s, while appearing in numerous films and television series in supporting roles. He currently operates a YouTube channel called Touring Talkies, which features interviews and talk shows about Tamil cinema.

The Director of Photography was done by V. Prabhakar. The editing work was done by N. Chandra. Ilaiyaraja was the music director of the film. The film was released on 4 October 1985. The film was a remake of Telugu film Neti Bharatham.
