Geert Kuiper (born 5 July 1960) is a Dutch speed skater. He competed in the men's 500 metres event at the 1984 Winter Olympics. [1]

Simon Kuipers Dutch speed skater

Simon Kuipers is a retired Dutch speed skater. He won a 1500 meters World Cup competitions on 3 December 2005. It was his first World Cup victory. He participated in two events at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, finishing 23rd in the 500 metres, and 4th in the 1500 metres, less than four-tenths of a second off the podium, as well as being the fastest Dutchman in that event. He officially retired in March 2012.

Cycling at the 1972 Summer Olympics – Mens individual road race

In cycling at the 1972 Summer Olympics, the men's individual road race was held on 7 September. There were 163 starters from 48 nations. The maximum per NOC was four. A total of 76 cyclists finished the race. The event was won by Hennie Kuiper of the Netherlands, the nation's first victory in the men's individual road race and first medal in the event since 1948. Clyde Sefton earned Australia's first medal in the event with his silver. Jaime Huélamo of Spain finished third, but was disqualified after failing a drug test; the medal was not reassigned. Italy missed the podium, breaking a four-Games streak of gold and silver medals.

Harm Kuipers is a former speed skater from the Netherlands. Kuipers combined his sports careers with being a Medicine student at the University of Groningen. Preferring his studies over speed skating, he did not participate in the 1972 Winter Olympics, a decision he still regrets today. The best year of his speed skating career was 1975, when he became World Allround Champion, after having won silver the year before. From 1971 to 1976, Kuipers also was a successful amateur bicycle racer.
