Geevarghese Mar Divannasios Ottathengil (1 November 1950 – 16 January 2018) was the bishop of Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy of Puthur from 2010 until 2017. [1] [2]
Geevarghese Mar Divannasios was born Varghese Ottathengil on 1 November 1950 into a Syrian Christian family in Thalavady near Thiruvalla. He was ordained a priest by Benedict Mar Gregorios in 1978. He served as Rector of the Major Seminary of the Malankara Catholic Church and was appointed Bishop of the Eparchy of Bathery by Pope John Paul II in 1996. Ottathengil's sacerdotal Silver Jubilee was celebrated in 2003. He served as Administrator of the Malankara Catholic Church after the death of Moran Mor Cyril Baselios Catholicos [3] and was later appointed as the first Bishop of the newly erected Eparchy of Puthoor in 2010. Mar Divannasios resigned from his position as Eparch of Puthoor due to health issues at the age of 66 in 2017, [5] having been a priest for 39 years and a bishop for 20 years. He died on 16 January 2018 in Thiruvalla, Kerala. [6]

Thapovanam, Shelter of Hope, Sulthan Bathery Wayanad, Kerala, India is an endeavor of the Eparchy of Sulthan Bathery. This house is a rehabilitation centre for the mentally ill persons. Geevarghese Mar Divannasios, the Bishop of Sulthan Bathery founded this house of hope in 2002. Rev. Fr. Wilson Kochupilackal is the founder-director of this house. The house gives shelter to the persons who are abandoned on the street without any discrimination of caste or creed. At present there are 51 persons including 9 women and 2 children. All these persons are taken to this house of hope by the director and the volunteers. They are doing this service to fulfill the words of Christ "Just as you did it to one of the least of these, who are members of my family, you did it to me". And this house is run with the help of the charity of many.

Dr. Abraham Mar Julios is the Metropolitan Bishop of the Eparchy of Muvattupuzha of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church. Abraham was born to late Varghese Kakkanattil in Padinjaremannil branch of Paramel family, Cherukole-Kozhenchery and Annamma Varghese in the village of Kalloopara, Thiruvalla. Having completed his school education, he joined the Infant Mary Minor Seminary, Thiruvalla in 1961. He completed his philosophical studies in St. Thomas Apostolic Seminary at Vadavathoor, Kottayam. He had his theological studies in Propaganda College, Rome. He was ordained priest by Metropolitan Zacharias Mar Athanasios. After his ordination, he served as parish priest of Mycavu and Ounjil in Kozhikkodu. From 1974 to 1979 Abraham Kakkanattu was the Procurator and the Director of the Social Service Society of the Eparchy of Tiruvalla. Meanwhile, he served as the vicar of the parishes of Thalavadi North and South. In 1978 he started Matha Senior Secondary School in Thumboly, Alleppey district.

Sacred Heart Malankara Syrian Catholic Church or referred as S H Church is located in the village of Mylapra, near Pathanamthitta, on the road side of the Main Eastern Highway in the Indian state of Kerala. It is home to one of the first Syro-Malankara Catholic Church communities and is the biggest and oldest established church in the Eparchy of Pathanamthitta.
