Geitastrand is a former municipality in the old Sør-Trøndelag county in Norway. The 119-square-kilometre (46 sq mi) municipality existed from 1905 until 1963 in what is now part of the municipality of Orkland in Trøndelag county. It encompassed the coastal area along the Trondheimsfjord between the town of Orkanger in the south to the Ingdalen valley in the north. The district was thinly populated, and has no significant urban areas. The administrative centre of the municipality was at Geitastrand village where the Geitastrand Church is located. The Byneset area of the city of Trondheim is located across the fjord to the east from Geitastrand.

He also competed at the 1983 World Championships and the 1984 Summer Olympics as well as the World Cross Country Championships in 1979, 1980 and 1983 without success. He became Norwegian champion in 10,000 m in 1981.

Geir Tore Myhre was a Norwegian ice hockey player and coach. He played for the Norwegian national ice hockey team, and participated in the Winter Olympics in 1980 and 1984. Myrhe scored two goals in his Olympic ice hockey career, both against the United States: he gave Norway a 1–0 lead against the Americans in the first period of their 1980 match-up, only to watch Team USA come back to win 5-1 en route to the gold medal. Four years later, Myrhe scored in a 3–3 tie versus the USA.

Haltdalen is a former municipality in the old Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 509-square-kilometre (197 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until 1972 when it was merged with Ålen to become the present-day municipality of Holtålen in Trøndelag county. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Haltdalen where the Haltdalen Church is located.
