Eutaxia is a genus of the family Fabaceae. They are native to Australia. Most are endemic to the Southwest Botanical Province of Western Australia, but a few are distributed throughout mainland Australia. The chromosome number of Eutaxia species is typically 2n = 14 or 16.
Eutaxia myrtifolia is shrub species in the family Fabaceae. It is endemic to Western Australia. Plants may be prostrate or up to 2 metres high. Yellow and red flowers are produced throughout the year in the species' native range. It occurs in woodland, shrubland and heath in the coastal region between Cape Naturaliste and Cape Arid.

Murray Ross Henderson (1899–1982) was a Scottish botanist who did most of his botanical work in the Straits Settlements and South Africa. He took a position as a botanist in Malaya in 1921 and became curator of the herbarium in the Singapore Botanical Gardens in 1924.

Rodney John Francis Henderson is an Australian botanist, specialising in taxonomy who worked for more than 48 years for the Queensland Public Service, 41 of those years at the Queensland Herbarium until he retired in 2002. The families he studied included the Solanaceae, Liliaceae, Euphorbiaceae and Rubiaceae. There are about 3,500 labelled specimens in Australian herbaria collected by Henderson, sometimes with other botanists. He was often sought after as an expert in the application of the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature because of his knowledge of the code and of botanical Latin and Greek.
