Genny Caterina Pagliaro (born 15 October 1988) is an Italian weightlifter. [2]

Genny is the sister of the other Italian weightlifting champion Alessandra Pagliaro. [3]

Biography

She won four bronze medals for the 48 kg division at the European Weightlifting Championships (2006, 2007, 2009, and 2011). [4] [5] Pagliaro is a member of the weightlifting team for Centro Sportivo Esercito, and is coached and trained by Giuseppe Minissale. [1]

Pagliaro represented Italy at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed for the women's flyweight category (48 kg). [6] Pagliaro, however, did not finish the event, after failing to lift a single-motion snatch of 82 kg in three attempts. [7]

Veronica Calabrese is an Italian taekwondo practitioner. She won two bronze medals for the 57 and 59 kg classes at the European Taekwondo Championships. She also captured a silver medal in the same division at the 2009 World Taekwondo Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark, losing out to China's Hou Yuzhuo. Calabrese is a member of the taekwondo team for Centro Sportivo Esercito, and is coached and trained by Yoon Soon-Cheul. She is engaged to two-time Olympic medalist Mauro Sarmiento.

Giorgio De Luca is an Italian weightlifter. De Luca represented Italy at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's lightweight class (69 kg). Unfortunately, De Luca did not finish the event, as he successfully lifted 131 kg (289 lb) in the single-motion snatch, but failed to hoist 160 kg (353 lb) in the two-part, shoulder-to-overhead clean and jerk. He is also a member of the weightlifting team for Gruppo Sportivo Fiamme Oro, and is coached and trained by Sergio Mannironi.

Moreno Boer is an Italian weightlifter. He was born in Pordenone. He is a member of the weightlifting team for Gruppo Sportivo Fiamme Oro, and is coached and trained by Angelo Mannironi. Boer made his official debut for the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where he hauled 365.0 kilograms in total for a twelfth-place finish in the men's heavyweight class (105 kg).

Vigilio Fait is an Italian sport shooter. Since 1997, Fait had won a total of ten medals for both air and free pistol at the ISSF World Cup series. He also captured a silver medal in the men's 50 m pistol at the 2006 ISSF World Shooting Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, accumulating a score of 662.8 points. Giuseppina Macrì is an Italian judoka, who competed in the women's extra-lightweight category. She held five Italian senior titles in her own division, picked up a total of twenty-five medals in her career, including three from the European Championships, two from the Mediterranean Games, and a coveted bronze from the 2001 World Judo Championships in Munich, Germany, and represented her nation Italy at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Daniela Castrignano is an Italian taekwondo practitioner, who competed in the women's heavyweight category. She obtained a total of nine medals in her sporting career, including one Gold and two silvers at the European Championships and a bronze in the over-72 kg division at the 2007 World Taekwondo Championships in Beijing. Castrignano was also selected to compete for the Italian taekwondo squad at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where she placed fifth in the women's heavyweight category (+67 kg). Throughout her sporting career, Castrignano trained for Team Perulli in her native Lecce under head coach and master Giuseppe Perulli.

Sabrina Sena is an Italian sport shooter. She has been selected to compete for Italy in rifle shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics and has won a career total of three medals, one gold and two silver, in a major international competition, spanning the World Cup series and the European Championships. Sena is a member of her town's firing shooting range, and also, a resident athlete of the Italy national shooting team under Swiss-born rifle head coach and five-time Olympian Gabriele Bühlmann.

He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Men's 81 kg, winning a bronze medal.

Alessandra Pagliaro is an Italian weightlifter bronze medal at the 2018 European Weightlifting Championships.

Christian Parlati is an Italian judoka. He won one of the bronze medals in the men's 81 kg event at the 2021 European Judo Championships held in Lisbon, Portugal. He also represented Italy at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Lucrezia Magistris is an Italian weightlifter, competing in the 59 kg category. She competed at the 2022 European Weightlifting Championships in Tirana, winning a silver medal in the 59 kg category.
