Biography

Having built a reputation for delivering energetic live shows, the group has played for crowds from Goa [2] to Glastonbury, [3] Bestival, [4] V Festival, [5] Secret Garden Party, France's Telerama Dub Festival, [6] Poland's Ostróda Reggae Festival, and Croatia's Outlook Festival. [7] Their records remain within the top 40 of the iTunes store album reggae charts since release, hailing support from some of the UK's most prominent underground representatives including Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), [8] Rob Da Bank (BBC Radio 1), [9] David Rodigan (BBC Radio 1Xtra), and Don Letts (BBC Radio 6 Music).[ citation needed ]

Gentleman's Dub Club have supported a number of established artists such as Roots Manuva, The Streets, The Wailers, Busy Signal, U-Roy, and Finlay Quaye. Their debut album, FOURtyFOUR, [10] was released on 18 October 2013 on Ranking Records. [11]

Their second album The Big Smoke was released in 2015. On 1 February 2017 Gentleman's Dub Club announced their third album, titled Dubtopia, would be released on 7 April. At the same time, the band also launched the Dubtopia tour, starting in Falmouth, Cornwall, UK on 17 February and ending at Festival Insolent in Lanester, France on 22 April.[ citation needed ]

Black Roots are a roots reggae band from the St. Paul's area of Bristol, England, formed in 1979. They toured extensively in the UK and Europe in the 1980s and early 1990s releasing several albums and singles during that time before disappearing from the music scene for about ten years. Their comeback began when Soundicate/Makasound, a record label in France, released an album in 2004 and followed it up with another in 2007. Coasts was an English rock band formed in Bristol in 2011. Bizu has garnered mainstream radio support from BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac and Phil Taggart and BBC Radio 1Xtra's Trevor Nelson. She has supported Coldplay, Sam Smith, Rudimental, and Foxes. In November 2015, Bizu was shortlisted for a Brit Critics' Choice award and longlisted for BBC's Sound of... 2016. She won the BBC Music Introducing Award at the 2016 ceremony. On 25 June 2016, Bizu performed on the Park Stage at the Glastonbury Festival.
